I understand wanting randomised games, but set enemies for Platinum seems a little odd. That's the only difficulty where it doesn't make a difference. (Or not an exceptional one, anyway.)

If I'm not mistaken it determines which enemies you'll face in a certain mix during certain waves? I haven't played Plat since the new DLC but I heard around via my friends on XBOX that in Plat now you either choose Collectors or you don't get them in the mix. Y/N?

If you're playing gold, chances are good you have something. For example, leaving the gear slot empty is just plain stupid.

If I see an assault rifle amp 1 I'll know that they at least care about the match.

Bah! IMO you shouldn't even set foot in a Platinum with zero gear or very low lvl gear unless you're in a private match with your friends who can either carry you or don't care if you do that. 

If you don't have a lot of gear? Earn it. Play and buy some. It just isn't..that hard. Build up your med gel reserves- get higher ammo gear. Refine your play accuracy and what not. Why don't people care to earn anything ever? Geez.

I find the Geth to be the easier of the factions to defeat. I played 12 or so matches last night U/U/G with randoms and we extracted every time against Geth. 2 of the players I was with stayed for like 8 or 9 of the matches and we cleaned house against Geth. Keep them at range, deal with the bombers quickly and move away when pyros get to close. The stunlock isn't an issue when you keep moving from one area to another and work together to eliminate enemies before they get close. The faction we couldn't seem to handle were the Collectors. Never got to to the extraction wave against them. The praetorian is the worst unit to deal with since it can fire it's lasers through all cover and at times it has the ability to move very quickly. It activates that energy sphere or whatever it is and zooms in for the kill. Even the scions aren't as bad as the praetorians. At least the scion is slow and can be avoided.

Teamwork>all

Some characters are still very useful without high level gear/amps. In particular casters such as adepts, sentinels, and engineers can do very well without good gear/guns. A vorcha can prime targets for fire explosions while I detonate with overload. If they have medi-gel transmitter I for example it can help us get out of a tight spot. When they dont equip gear though I know they are looking to get carried. A person who doesnt equip gear is most likely not gonna use supplies(consumables).

But I wish the geth would be Nintendo hard. Because that would actualy be more fair.

This. I've been playing Cerberus only in my lobbies(going for challenge completion) and some guy last night complained that he was bored. Told him he could leave or they could all kick me and wait for migration, he promptly left. I don't enjoy getting stunlocked to death, Geth won't see the end of my barrel or any biotics tossed their way unless a weekend op calls for it.

I like playing against the geth. They're not that bad, you just need to work together, cover your flanks etc.

I played as a QFE against geth with a Paladin Senty. Oh my lord the glorious techsplosions. A thing of real beauty.

Cerberus isn't that bad as long as you work together and cover your flanks; neither are Reapers or even Collectors. That's basic teamwork.

Geth really are that bad. Teamwork doesn't help when Rocket Troopers decide to start double-tapping you. It doesn't help when a pack of Hunters stunlocks you just long enough to start elbowing you to death. It doesn't help when a Prime's cannon fire curves 90 degrees to stun me as I take cover. It doesn't help when a tiny, silent turret lands behind me and kills me before I can turn around.

I understand how to beat Geth, and at least with friends (at least, before all the traitors dropped ME3 for their silly bar exams, weddings, new babies, &c.) extracting against Geth isn't particularly difficult. It's rage-inducing because they cheat.

I'm not a particularly great MP player but I don't find playing against geth that rage-inducing, or think they cheat. Yes they have their strength, but with no sync-kills, no super-fast unit and being highly susceptible to techsplosions means they have their weaknesses too.

*shrugs* I get that some people find them annoying. I don't.
