I feel like playing against the geth sharpens my skills, even though they are a pain in the ass.
Players need to stop choosing unknown enemy

It's no fun if you know what's coming. I like the surprise of seeing which enemy is going to be giving it to my random squad of the day.

No super-fast unit? Cloaked Hunters are pretty speedy, and a Bomber on one of its little runs is at least tough to target. They're also not that much more susceptible to tech bursts than, say, Reapers are to fire explosions. Even the lack of sync kills is more than equaled by the Geth's propensity for stagger and stun at every range.HolyAvenger wrote...
I'm not a particularly great MP player but I don't find playing against geth that rage-inducing, or think they cheat. Yes they have their strength, but with no sync-kills, no super-fast unit and being highly susceptible to techsplosions means they have their weaknesses too.
*shrugs* I get that some people find them annoying. I don't.
It's also worth nothing that the post I was responding to wasn't a simple assertion that you don't particularly dislike Geth. I think it makes you a masochist, but you're entitled to your opinion.
What you actually said was that Geth aren't bad if you use elementary tactics when facing them... as if that hasn't occurred to anyone who dislikes the Geth. My point was that there's really no good counter to the things Geth can do that make them... let's be non-judgmental and say "unique".

People need to stop choosing UU anything. Unknown maps give you Rio, London and Condor, which can all go to Reaper hell. Unknown enemy gives you Geth. Nuff said.
It makes a huge difference, actually. No Collectors on Cerberus. Primes only appear on wave 8 of Cerberus too. Less Phantoms on anything not Cerberus. I could go on. Choosing the enemy faction let's you choose your poison, so to speak.Karsciyin wrote...

I
prefer U/U/G. If I play Platinum I would me choosy about what faction I
would like in the mix- but otherwise I like to roll the dice.
I
understand wanting randomised games, but set enemies for Platinum seems
a little odd. That's the only difficulty where it doesn't make a
difference. (Or not an exceptional one, anyway.)
