I gave a Mage a Long Bow and he was shooting arrows with powers. He shot fire arrow and cold spell shots. This was fun and believable. A Mage should be able to have an archer skill set. You should be able to learn more than skill and it could effect you weapons or style of combat.

Don't they do this already with the elementally weapons ability?
Regardless I support letting mages use any weapons.

I also want arrows to burn longer when they hit something. They should really burn dry grass, hay piles, and other flammable things. Fire arrows can be used as a tactic to slow down enemies or kill them.

Being able to use the environment more (or any) would be great.

I just want to not have to put my sword away when casting as an Arcane Warrior.

I would love it if the spell effect being casted travelled through the sword before hitting the target.
Sure it would add 1 extra second to casting time, but it would be awesome!
