Here is a quick review of the new weapons and Kits
Turian Soldier: This is effectively a "non biotic" vanguard, setting off tech bursts and fire explosions instead of biotic explosions. Built for melee, and turians that can dodge are great fun. You need to get really skilled with the stim pack skill so you don't die horribly, but on the whole it's a pretty unique character addition.
Turian Infiltrator: This is where the new turian design really shines. Quick deployment and AR focus instead of SR. The mobility is essential and the stim packs are great for helping you out of a really bad situation, especially against collectors and grenade clusters.
Volus Engineer: This is really the best (so far) of the volus classes. Recon mine is amazing with a fantastic explosion. I don't have this yet, but it is the essential support class. I just wish it was a Salarian and not a Volus.
Volus Biotic: I DO have this one... and I am not a huge fan. Someone else should write up this review, because I tried it once and died horribly.
Weapons.
Collector AR: A cumbersome brick. I am glad I did not waste money on getting this weapon, it's damage is painfully bad and the weight does not compensate for it's lack of potency.
Collector SR: I... Really don't know how to use this. It's a beam weapon with barely any charge. It does good damage, but the reload time is immensely painful. It would work well on a class that boosts ammo avaliability, but not much else.
Collector SMG: This weapon is a curiosity. I tend to focus all Ultra-rare weapons in "what makes them special" next to others, and usually there are some specific advantages and drawbacks to every UR weapon.
Advantages: No thermal clips, Armor piercing ammo, VERY accurate, VERY stable, Lightweight.
Disadvantages: Tiny ammo capacity, effectively restricting what mods you can take to Thermal clip and Heat sink. Less DPS then the Hurricane.
It's not a BAD weapon by any sense, it's just specialized and requires a lot of trial and error to use.
Bioware... Give us the Valkyrie! it is my very favorite gun!
