Witch Hunt, I think, took place during that year the Hawke siblings and Aveline were working for the mercs/smugglers in Kirkwall.  Before Hawke met Bodhan and Sandal.

Witch Hunt, I think, took place during that year the Hawke siblings and Aveline were working for the mercs/smugglers in Kirkwall.  Before Hawke met Bodhan and Sandal.

Well Witch Hunt takes place about 3 years after the Blight (I remember reading that somewhere) so it would have taken place at earliest around the time of the expidetion.

The events of Awakening are after the year of mercenary/smuggling work since in Act 1 on the Amaranthine Conspirators quest the woman refrences the death of the mother when talking to Hawke, and Witch Hunt takes place after Awakening so...

Even weirder - Bodahn (in Act 3): "My boy's been offered a position in Orlais."

It looks like they had the basic story for DAIII written while they where making DAII

Well, he did say he'd be traveling to Orlais in DA2. If that wasn't a virtual confirmation of a return in DA3, I don't know what is.
