The players have also gotten numerous buffs as well, but everyone wants to overlook that.

Most of the buffs were to severely underpowered stuff and some still remain underpowered.

And what would you say to my Asari Vanguard, who can now carry 9 Lift Grenades at a time, each dealing about 1700 damage before being boosted by consumables and Biotic Charge power synergy?

This was a good buff to underpowered class ;) I was talking mostly about weapons.

I just moved down to silver while I work on my manifest. No need to whine about it. :|

Does anyone remember when BSN thought Carnifex Asari Adepts were overpowered?

If only I had a Kroguard with a Reegar Carbine, or a Geth Infiltrator with a pre-nerf Piranha/Krysae back then...

The insane powercreeps with certain classes and weapons is what unbalanced the game. Then enemies needed to get buffed, But they can't buff their AI. Only speed, hitpoints and damage: a.ka. the cheap stuff

I remember when we called Novaguards overpowered back in the demo, because they could chain immunity frames together.

I see one ego here that's clearly in need of deflating.

I see you resopnding to all of these difficulty topics, and the only input you have to say is that people have big egos is a higher difficulty is a great thing.

You seem to either willfully disregard, or just plum forget, that there ARE higher difficulties: GOLD AND PLATINUM.

People who are awesome at this game, and I know them, and I follow them on Youtube for tips and stuff, and I use their builds, and I appreciate all that they do because most of them don't come to forums simply to brag about how awesome they are, use these higher difficulties almost EXCLUSIVELY. And they're rewarded for it with credits up the wazoo, as they should. But even some of THEM indicate how the Collectors need tweaking.

What most people are saying when they complain about difficulty is their diffculty on the LOWER TIERS of DIFFICULTY: IE: BRONZE AND SILVER.

I have yet to read ONE person, even ONE person, complaining that the Collectors are too hard on Gold or Platinum. That's where HARD goes to SLEEP. That's where HARD has BREAKFAST. That's where HARD LIVES.

So if you really don't understand this, or don't want to understand this, or can't understand this, then do everyone a favour and just go. Just.... go.

deflat my ego? lol you're more then welcome to try...on a side note: wanna know what's funny about that comment? yes, i'm damn good at this game, but i dont even display my ego when it comes to the game

if you've actually read my responses, i've said more then that...i've explained how the things being called overpowered arent...i've mentioned what difficulty level i play the most (silver)...i mentioned the players i play with (any and everyone cause i play public games)...and more...

what you're ignoring is there is a difficulty below silver...but for some reason you and others think yall are too good to play bronze, to make adjustments to how you play...and think that enemies are too powerful and need to be adjusted...

there are more awesome people at this game then the ones that post on youtube...anyway, why are you using their builds? ....i see now, that's the problem...their builds fit their play style, not yours...so if they need to make adjustments to how they play using their builds, they can, you cant....you should come up with a play style on your own that fits how you like to play...that way, if adjustments need to be made, you can make them....now that i think, i bet that's the same issue a lot of the ones complaining are having....in fact, i mentioned that in another thread....also, name some of these awesome players that think the collectors need tweaking

i've mentioned numerous times that i play mostly silver, so i kinda know what i'm talking about from experience

i play those higher levels too, they are great...but i havent brought them up once cause they dont pertain to the convo

no, i understand everything yall are saying, i just dont agree...there is a difference....but i'll ablige, and go

Cerberus has become stupid, it's the only way I can put it. Dragoons are perhaps the worst addition to this game we've ever had and combine them with the change a few weeks ago where now Cerberus Engineers join in on the "Cerberus Zerg Rush" it has completely changed them as a faction and made them a pain to deal with. Turrets everywhere, Dragoons in packs, Atlases and Phantoms shooting through cover - honestly, the Geth are easier to deal with.

When this game was released, it was fun as hell. It was difficult, but didn't require one of a very small number of strategies to be successful. Now, it's still fun, but Silver is as hard as Gold used to be, Gold is almost as hard as Platinum used to be, and I don't even want to know what Platinum is.

The problem is that the game is getting harder for a lot of people, so they learn to complain about it.

The solution is that those people learn to play better.

Only one of these actions is what most players do.

Uh. I'm pretty sure we've been given gear to carry up to 8 rockets. I would put that one up in the win column for players.

What they need to do is get rid of the noobing through walls shockwave and slash powers. Then people would actually learn how to play instead of mashing a button from across the map.

They still are; it's simply that no one uses them. The new weapons they could have certainly given them the cheese to please in cruise control mode.

You can't keep getting better in this game, because a lot of things are not dependent on your skill. You reach a point when all that matters is luck.

Have you tried 3 Nova-Guards and one Volus Engineer with Shield Boost?...

The Novas.... they... don't.... stop!

I don't know that I would say Gold is as hard as Platinum, but I considered Platinum kind of gimmicky and requiring very specific characters or a skill level that a very small % of the community possesses.

Still, I would rather not see the difficulty of at least Gold/Platinum nerfed. Nerf Silver/Bronze if it is actually too hard for people that should be playing at those levels, and also boost the credit output so that they don't feel like they need to play gold+ to make decent progress on their manifest.

I'm not overlooking that a Cerberus Bufoon is stager proof versus a Graal when doing hi silly animations, the gun that used to stagger everything.

Dragoons are not staggerproof by any stretch of the imagination. They are resistant to it (as any armored unit should be) but they can be stunned by melee, CC weapons like the Falcon/Scorpion/Krysae, Chain Overload, Energy Drain, Throw, Shockwave, Biotic Charge, Proximity Mine, Almost every grenade power, and a bunch of other stuff I'm too lazy to list.

Brutes are immune to stun during their melee attacks as well, but I don't see anyone complaining about that. Hell, Brutes are harder to kill too.

I have to disagree on that...they're big lazy targets that melt under AP, Incendiary and Warp rounds.

Dragoons are faster than a Nemesis, human sized, and cuase stagger with most of their, fast and spammable, attacks
EDIT: They also come in groups, and most of the time take up over half of the enemy force during a wave.

If you don't think that in the last week people are dying at a rate never seen before, and you are having no new troubles other than figuring out new enemies, don't bother posting. Those of us that noticed the change, and aren't so stupid as to misunderstand learning new enemies and powers, want to discuss the obvious change in how fast we are dying to regular trash mobs on easier levels. There is absolutely no way that a few new enemies, or even an increase in difficulty, results in dropping a full shield/health Krogan to dead in less than one second, on Silver, without something being wrong.

Stop the elitist behavior just because you aren't experiencing what the vast majority are. I am one who believes that it has to do with the change from client to host calculations rather than a 'gate' issue.

i do think the game has gotten harder, which is resulting in people dying faster...i just dont think the game should be made easier...has nothing to do with elitism, i'm just actually enjoying the challenge the game presents now...seriously, all bw did was make the game fight back...before recently (last month), for the most part, enemies came towards you like lambs to slaughter....now, they fight back and dont come at you so easier, and it's great to me....as a gamer, i love it...that's why i dont agree with dialing back the difficulty a lot of these threads are asking...

Killing everything in .000000001 seconds with a damage specced Infiltrator wielding a Harrier doesn't require much more skill than that, tbh.

I doubt changing the shockwave powers would encourage a player who is not looking for a challenge or looking to get better to actually learn how to play the game. The player who is looking for the easiest way to unlock things would just scour the internet for the next easiest setup to play above what difficulty (s)he should be playing. (FBWGG was a good example of this) Why follow a chain of progression (Bronze, Silver, Gold) when you can just farm Gold for credits, to unlock more guns, to farm more credits, to unlock more guns, to farm more credits....
