You are full of BS. I had to work just like you did, and I am not having the same problems. The issue is you my friend, not the game
I don't know you. Do not insult me then call me "friend".
Why complaints about the difficulty are justified

The only problem is still the health-/shieldgate stuff.
The DLC made me switching from 50/50 silver/gold to play just gold. Since it made me play the chars different and more effecient, it made me a better player, so i earn now more money with the same ammount of time. Probably i become a platin-only player soon.

shield *cough* gate *cough* nerf.
shield gate and health gate still work. see Bioware's offical response to the inquiry.
Either it doesnt work or the 2 beams count as 2 attacks and hits me simultaneously.

I think the beam does 2 counts of damage, 3 if on larger guys such as krogan, because as a krogan i've seen my
shields drop to 1/3rd.
drop to shield gate.
health drops to 2/3rds.
or it could do a continuous stream of damage that makes a joke of shield gate. im not too sure

I still see something fishy about the shield gate after DLC though. Getting gunned down by troopers happens more often because the mechanics are somehow different than pre-DLC. What -- I cant say.

Haven't noticed the bugged gates on ourselves, I see. Which have a much greater effect on us than the gate nerf has on the enemies (surprise!).
dont get shot at so much then. then again it would affect you more if you are naturally eating more bullets
Well then, you play a game without ever getting shot at. Be sure to tell us how that works for you.

we're building a pretty impressive pyramid here. but i digress.
you know how that works out? you dont drop like a sack of bricks every other minute. You're the one saying that the shield gate nerf for us (which wasnt, by the way, see Bioware's official response) has a greater impact than the enemy shield gate nerf, which now allows high-powered 1 shot snipers to OHK pretty much all shielded mooks

Collectively, veterans could do a LOT of good by resorting to playing bronze for an extended period of time to help out newcomers. This could be especially beneficial on xbox as most random gamers have mics to communicate.
Consider it giving back to the ME community. It would ease the rookies into the game and keep them interested. Afterall, we need to keep the playerbase as dense as we can to solidify another ME MP game.
Arguing over the difficulty or telling someone to play better isn't practical nor does it rectify the situation.

your offer is well meaning but I doubt the majority of veterans will sponsor an Adopt a Rookie weekend.
I'm a halfway decent veteran player but not good enough to run a day camp lol

Chris Schanche advised the Praetorian beam is not a single damage attack, this is also confirmed by Eric further down in the thread.

The game was nowhere near this hard on release.
we also had no PSPs or JEPs
we didn't have 6 gel
we didn't have level 4 consumables
we didn't have gear
we didn't have harriers, PPRs, Typhoons, Reggars, Pirhannas
we didn't have GIs, Ghosts, Furys, Destoryers , Male quarians
we have gotten new tools to combat the difficulty
...Again, that is assuming you can manage to unlock those things from the damn store in the first place. I still don't have my 6th medigel. I still have friends that don't even have FIVE of them yet. The only level 4 consumables I have came from Victory Packs. Most of my gear is level 1 with a relatively low bonus that it isn't even noticable. I only have about 3 gear that are a high enough level to actually notice any percentage gains, and like 2 gear that increase grenade capacity (and they only give me +1/+2). I don't have a Particle Rifle, Ghost, Paladin, or Slayer. None of my friends have a new Turian Anything or a Volus. I didn't get a Male Quarian until Earth DLC was already out; I literally got the Demolisher before a Male Quarian Anything. My Reegar, Piranha, Harrier and Typhoon are really low level (the Typhoon and Harrier are level 1 and the Reegar and Piranha are between 4 and 6) and most of my friends don't have any of those at all.
So people on here **** that the game is too easy and completely forget that not everyone has the privilege to have the "overpowered" tools that apparently trivilize the game. By the way, there are still people that don't have the "overpowered" stuff from the vanilla game. I have friends that still don't have a Salarian Infiltrator, Salarian Engineer, Asari Adept, or Carnifex.

It was just a suggestion. I don't know if vets would go for it but I consider it an investment. It would help players perform better in the game and help them expand their manifests. The lobbies on Gold/Platinum would be filled quicker with more *competent* players instead of leechers which would improve the gameplay experience overall.
I can't think of a better proposition that directly aids in the effort. Oh well, I tried...
I would, but 95% of the PuGs im in are as quiet as a tomb. today I saw a kroguard slap targetting VI for his geth plasma shottie. I told him over the mic 'dude, GPS does not do extra damage for headshots'
*silence*.
if there are people on this forums around Asia that want games? sure, I'll be there to help out.
