Blacksmiths should make more appealing equipment, weapons and armour

Edit: Actually, I think I remember reading something like this online, where they said it was actually the way Bioware was planning to play this. Only barely, since I didn't really pay attention. I don't have Dragon Age II or even Awakenings yet and I refuse to use a preset to choose what Thedas looks like, or to use a partial import and miss out on certain decisions. Therefore, none of this is all that important to me.
Edit: The above edit pertains to the products, not the smith.

I want to have a semi choice of what I get made or welded. The blacksmiths don't always have a great choice of things to buy or chose. I want to have access to more precious metals and stones. So, I can build my equipment, weapons, and armour.
Me three!
Things like specialty Jobs that gives the player the "God like" option to create stuff that affects the gameplay directly is awesome. I'm thinking like Blaksmith too, and Breeding "pets" or some kind of DA Chocobo. God I miss Final Fantasy 7, such a classic game with so many things to do. It make me wonder why up to date with such amazing game engines the quality and depth of games have being lost!
even in the Multiplayer or Co-op section this "jobs" can match pretty well. People sharing ideas and items that can significally improve the final product is a hit!
I want a blue chocobo....errr...I mean dragon!! But blue ia a primary breed.....so I'll feed my green dragon I received as a special gift with this special blue Lyrium and guess what egg could I have!.....

EDIT:
Sorry, things meaning better armor and the like. I just sold stuff when I needed to. I wouldn't mind if they used them in another way, such as if I found enough of a resource, they would start selling bricks of it or something.
I miss the NWN2 way of crafting.

I would like a crafting mechanic for making weapons and armor as well.
And I'd like to be able to make a profit from doing such things too.

Overall, I wouldn't mind more customization, but other than head gear for mages, I'm usually pleased with the options in Dragon Age.

I'd like to be able to craft armor that's on par visually with the warrior sets in Legacy+MotA, or the mage item pack armor. It would be nice for my character to look like an Orlesian Lancer, if the game is going to be in Orlais.
If Wade+Harren have reason to be in Orlais, then it would be nice to see them back. Otherwise, any blacksmith would do.

Clearly we need Wade back
pretty much this. I'd also appreciate lots of appearence options for weapons and armor, ranging from tradtional styles to more fantasy looking ones

I'd like to see more of the talking to the Blacksmith and describing what type of item you want him to craft for you. It was a really nice addition in DA:O/A with Wade. Legacy had a customized weapon as well although its crafting was a bit different. Basically customizing stuff is cool and I'd like to see more of it.
Yep, this.
Also, once a weapon is created, it should be continually improvable so you can keep your favourite "old faithful" throughout the whole game if you like, with it able to keep up with your level.
