Come on guys can't we all just get along? But seriously I agree with Drummernate on this. 99% of people have trouble on anything past silver, if you play pugs on a regular you will understand. The way the game is now makes it difficult to pull a pug game with 3 average players. Gold should be difficult but not impossible, changing that would really make me consider having gold be friends only.
I do feel for you guys who want a higher difficulty without having to gimp yourselves. But why should many suffer for the few?
BW please buff the dragoons and the reapers

I think you misunderstood the intent of his message. He's not trying to tell you to go away or anything, he's pointing out that if your experience and skill has grown to the point where the game is mostly trivial to you, thats more of a personal issue for you. I dont mind the idea of platinum being more exclusive, but Gold and below should not be catering to the top 1% Why do the top 1% care about gold, if the games that easy, they shouldnt stray from platinum and expect a challenge (note how I worded that, Im not saying they shouldnt be allowed to play lower difficulties)
I mean a lot of people already feel the platinum multiple enemy mode adds a certain novelty to the game, yet have no interest in the ****tiness of grinding through the enemy health totals on that difficulty.
Bioware are already gimping their potential customers through the catering to the top 1% they have done, wouldnt want to make it worse. And if you disagree, look at the forums, its a huge amount of whining about how hard the game is now.

on an unrelated note. seeker swarms suck. The fury is horrible against collectors. between seeker swarms stopping your powers, and posessed abominations running into your AF field with low health and killing you it sucks. lol.
I braught this up the other day and fully agree, it is sad that most people want the game to be dull and simple just so they can get crates easier. But who really needs crates if the enemies are so damned simple to defeat.

Again, why should the highest difficulties be doable by just anyone? Even gimping ourselves the highest difficulties aren't challenging enough to cause many fails. Yes the 99% of players should be taken care of, but why does that make them any more important as a consumer than the 1%? There are 4 difficulties currently, why are we not allowed to have even 1 that can provide the proper amount of challenge?

why do people refuse to understand that platinum just isnt fun and is only used by people that wanna max thier manifests. they do this by camping which bioware doesnt like or by being good enough at which point why do you even need to max your manifest. the majority of platinum players are either completionists or campersElijini wrote...

Even though I do appreciate the advice that would only solve my problem, and not everyone elses. Not everyone can play gold, but making it harder will only deminish the gold population further. Bad players that are bad and should feel bad will still be the only pugs you can find. While the more sensible players would have given up in their quest for the gold.

Platinum has its place. I think they could make a single-faction higher difficulty though.

1 Player should not be able to carry an entire Gold match (which I can). Yes it is a bit of a challenge trying to keep them alive and kill all the enemies at once, but it is still doable which it shouldn't be. If they can't play Gold there is still Silver and Bronze, pay your dues there like the Gold and Platinum players did.
More of the private lobby Gold and Platinum players that frequently beat that those difficulties may come back out to PUGs if 95% of them weren't terrible.

Well gold as it is right now is not doable by everybody. Trust me my last few games can be testimant to that. Uping the difficulty will only discourage sensible players, while those who are credit hungry will continue to litter the lobbies. A new difficulty would be good for you guys, and even so for myself and my friends when we are together but until that happens changing the difficulties to cater to the best would make random games impossible. It shouldn't be that way but people do not know their limits.

i did not come into mass effect knowing anyone who played the game, i just played with my mic until i made friends, at this point i have 59 mass effect 3 people in my friends list. i play on ps3 the least populated platform so it really shouldn't be that hard. also in utter sincereity this website was created by people who got sick of playing with randoms, and now have over 800 members across all platforms and in multiple countries and timezones. http://far-me3.enjin.com/ im sure you can find some decent gold players there.WizeMan305 wrote...

Anyway, I hate dragoons when your trying to do any objective, especially if your solo, as they can run pretty much the map, and stagger you before you can do one objective.
But other then that, just killing them is fun, and i don't think they need a buff. They're still more challenging to kill then a pyro. Which is about its equal.
And for reapers, banshe's warp and ravagers bile/swarmers are still very deadly against charcters with low health, as they ignore shield gate and eat health. And banshees are still really good at forcing you out into the open.
I think they should just play with the collectors a bit, as i find them by far the hardest. All the others seem pretty equal now.

Buff the Dragoons are you kidding? They just made Cerberus a lot harder. Also how are Reapers easy? I would say they are probably the easiest of the 4 but by no means are they pushovers.
