...w/o the risk of a cheap death you have to actually make a mistake to be grabbed now...

And that's a bad thing?

The Dragoons don't need any change and about the reapers what they really need is some new units. It's kinda boring fighting dozens of banshes who keep spamming always in pairs during the last waves (on gold)...

its a great thing. but the banshee cheapness was their only threat before. brutes are the sorries boss units in the game. no ranged attack and low armor and slow movement speed.

Don't even think about it. Their Eviscerators will be XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXMMMMMMMMVVVVVVVV
and will fire as fast as a hornet.

Yes, but on the higher difficulties you get swarmed with the damned things.
And Banshee's still pose a threat, they still have a massive chance of sync-killing you and can close in on you easily.

Dragoons are stupid, just like this topic. Their general design is just dumb.

why is it stupid? its an upclose smash guard character? we have ex ceberus that were never part of ceberus. why not add them as an enemy?

Adding them is fine. Adding them as armored husks on speed in a faction that favours tactics is dumb. But you can't see it.

so its dumb to add a character that makes you move out of the 1 spot you've been sitting in for 3 waves?

people take "lore" to seriouslly in MP games

They're "dumb" because they are quite literally that, dumb. They do nothing but spam staggerlock and move around as fast (if not faster) than a Hunter, while being armoured and stomping you. They don't mesh with Cerberus. They need a style change not a buff.

i get it they are fast and spam smash, but their smash animation is slow as hell and they can be bated into it liek every other melee heavy character. they also are extremly weak in their armor

That's what I'm saying. Because of the way they are they don't fit Cerb. They need to move slower. They need barriers as they are biotics. They need a weapon befitting a close range specialist. They should get Eviscerators. And if we want Bunker Busters, allow their Smash to go through cover somewhat like a Brute.

Actually, I don't think Dragoons are that difficult, at least up through gold.  Also, I really like the way they look.

I think the reason People disagree is because Cerberus always was kind of a "slow" faction. Atlases are slow, the process of setting up a turret is slow, even Phantoms are slow as they try to cloak and flank you when they can. Assault Troopers and Centurions take more cover than Cannibals or Marauders as well, and Nemesi we don't even need to talk about.

The thing is: Everything about Cerberus was kinda slow, yet the "payoff" was great: Atlases have high HP and high damage with which they can push you back (would be more noticeable if the AI were better), Phantoms can synckill you if you don't watch out for them and Turrets can make it impossible for you to revive on your own if an Engineer sneaks one in somehow.

And then we have Dragoons: They run up to you and spam smash.

Not only can they stunlock you and prevent you from reviving on your own as soon as two of them are together, but they also have the highest movement speed and never take cover.

Dragoons employ no strategy and are suicidal. They don't ever take a break. So, they disrupt the game a lot and that is in a frustrating manner. They also move in packs and to top it off, have armor. So, if I were to say, reduce their speed by half, instead of armor, give them health (with barrier) and balance their numbers with the phantoms. 4 phantoms with 4 dragoons doesn't sound too easy, right, compared to 8 dragoons and 2 phantoms?

Because they fast travel in 4 with their girlfriend, the (Suelen) phantom. They aren't hard to fight, they aren't hard at all. They aren't supposed to be hard. They are annoying.  They are for most classes what the Nemesis is to a Vanguard, a f*cking pain in the ass. The reason you died to x, y or z. And PUGs can't deal with them.

My only two problems with Dragoons is their speed and silence. Other than that they really are actually easy to manage....assuming you don't get ninja snuck up on by 4 of them with 2 phantoms following. Actually, the only time I know when they are behind me is when I hear the phantom who's farther away than them lol. I agree on the Reapers needing a buff though.

Their numbers, movement speed and ability to see straight through Tactical Cloak bug me. Having a cover buster unit for Cerberus is a good idea, but the Dragoon doesn't seem well thought out outside of being an anti-farmer enemy.
