On Dragoons; was probably carrying this one match, and I got downed by a Centurion grenade while two Dragoons rushed me. I usually hold off on the gels until I'm either going to be stomped or the counter runs down, but the Dragoons have such a fast animation for everything that I was stomped before I even registered that it was a possibility. Match failed, because the two remaining players couldn't handle all of the firepower being focused on them. It's just another thing to adapt to, but their curbstomp is definitely much more rapid and less avoidable, so that's a thing.
Mostly, slayin, I agree, but considering that a large portion of the playerbase struggles with these enemies, I doubt they need a buff. Buffs and nerfs shouldn't be based only on the good players. If a lot of folks have trouble with them compared to other enemy types, then that's the closest thing we have to an objective measure of their strength. Until players get better at dealing with Dragoons, they're fine as is. Most folks have always struggled with Reapers, and they were initially the most powerful faction, so I don't know what to say about that..
the concept of MP is simple.
start with starter equipment on bronze. earn credits, hone your skills unlock better stuff move up to silver and repeat.
the issue people are having is they turned it into a how quick can i unlock stuff game and now are mad that they actually have to play it instead of having an easy win button.
If you go into a gold match with a harrrier you can rape things. If your best pistol is a predator X you shouldn't be playing gold.
Slayin, this is
the most reasonable reply on this thread, and you didn't seem to see what they were saying. Thus I will clarify. Dragoons can wipe most PUGs. For whatever reason, be it underpreparedness, unawareness, or ineptitude, they destroy most randoms.
We must consider their reletive difficulty compared to the other factions, because an enemy in void is never a problem. That is why it is possible to beat this game.
/clarificationIt is not reasonable to demand the other players of a game to get better at it so that it is entertaining for you, however, I would agree that people should aquaire some basic weaponry before advancing to the next difficulty, that is not the only variable to consider.
I have been in games with randoms who had an excelent armory, and still struggled against Dragoons. In silver. I had to run around keeping an eye out for this one enemy specifically because I had a falcon, making me the only one who could lock them down and deal out some punishment at the same time. And even though I am an experienced silver player, they took me out quite a few times as well.
I think that they are effective at what they were meant to do already, for the majority of the player base, that is. I also believe that they fit poorly with the rest of cerberus. If they were to employ hit and run, or try to flank like Phantoms, that would be neat, but they don't. And lastly, I think that, like others have said here, there is too little data to come to an accurate conclusion on what needs to be done with them. Give them another week for players to adjust. I remember Phantoms killing me all of the time in the demo, but I figured them out. Perhaps once the community figures out this new enemy, you will see buffs.
