not to sound like a jerk but an "average" player as you call it should be playing silver

beginner = bronze
average = silver
good player = gold
great TEAM = platinum

that what it is there for. If the credits were the same for all 4 difficulties people would play the one that suits them best. instead all teh young gamers want an easy win unlock eveyrhting button. and complain when they don't get it.

Fixed it a bit...and if all they difficulties had the same reward...EVERYONE would be on bronze till they unlocked everything...then, and ONLY then would people even consider playing a tougher level...:?...

I just hate it when I'm playing a solo game against Cerberus and I get a hack objective. You have to leave the area every minute and a half because a Dragoon comes up from behind an nearly kills you... They're not difficult to take down, it's just stupid that they spawn nonstop in some waves...

You apparently haven't found the glitch yet. I seen it posted on youtube yesterday. lol No I'm not saying what it is..

Hmmm, didn't know there was any glitch that affected Dragoons. Not that I would exploit it anyways, hahaha.

Yes.  Solo just makes them infinitely more annoying.  Was messing around with them as a Shadow today.

There are plenty of ways to deal with them, but on objectives your options are more limited.

Even on something like a Wave 3 Assassinate, it basically just spawns an Atlas and Dragoons.  Guess how many Dragoons you have to kill per Atlas if you don't want to use rockets if you don't have a high DPS gun on your Shadow?

Not the Dragoons.. The hack objective.

Dragoons are just fine IMO. Reapers could use a slight buff, but I don't want them to turn into Geth 2.0.

geth are cheap. reapers odn't need that. maybe a little more health to lower units and lower the amount of times canibals and maurders buff up becuase it leaves them helpless

I'll put it this way, my favorite enemy is Reapers simply because I don't feel like there are any "cheap" units left on them like there is on every other faction. Cerberus has Phantoms (not the worst, but still annoying enough that I carry a weapon just for them), Geth have the most annoying all around with nearly everything but the Trooper, and Collectors have Scion/Praetorian.

None of them are insanely hard, but they all can be relatively annoying. I don't feel that way about the Reapers and hope that if they get a buff they feel nearly the same. Also, as for Dragoons, they do their job nearly perfectly. They are not too easy since a pack of them and Phantoms can be a real pain and far too much for the average player to handle.

This. If an enemy doesn't use cheap tactics, does it mean they should be buffed?

Also they were buffed! Now they have 2 units that can stomp you.

Just wanted to point this out and I hope that someone from Bioware can confirm this.

Since the magnet hands fix it seems they've also finally fixed brutes.

I've been sync killed by brutes since the latest DLC then I have since launch. I've been playing no different at all apart from playing the shadow and then It was stupid of me.

Every other time has just been complete shock. I've been standing near(ish) a brute and before i never expected to be picked up then bam. I'm up.

It feels like they've fixed brutes sync kill atleast.

You completely misunderstood my point. I said he won't be happy until the average gamer either stops playing the game or has to play bronze. Meaning if they keep buffing enemies and making this game harder. It's going to alienate 98% of the people who play this game. The people who can solo platinum with their hands tied behind their backs are the extreme minority. But yet these are the jerks who keep asking for enemy buffs.

if people quit the game becuase its not easy its no loss. the game isn't meant to be easy (except bronze) i'm by no means the best gunner out there. no even close IMO. but the great thing about ME3 MP is you have a team of 4 and you can suck at aiming and still do good if you use power classes.

I don't expect everyone to be able to solo platinum or even beat platinum and i don't want to see the game get so hard that a group of 4 good players cna't beat gold. but it shouldn't be soo easy that a group of 4 crappy players can beat gold by sitting behind a counter all game

That may be true, but can you really say that if you could have gotten 120,000+ credits from bronze when you first started that you would have gone to gold for the same ammount?

Hey, if you so much like challenge, why not play it on PC? I mean you wouldn't have an aimbot and mobs would do much more damage to you.

Agreed. However, if 4 better than average players die on wave 7 of gold because they got killed before they could get back up...there's a problem.

That's great but your request hurt the average silver player as much as those "crappy gold campers"

There are MP games with niche communites, such as the latest transformer games(which are good in their own right), but I'd rather not see this game choke the life out of itself and the casual/average players with constant enemy buffs.

Disagree. Dragoons don't need a buff... especially if there are more than two in play. This more of that run-and-gun BS masked as balance change. I play all the difficulty levels and I'm surprised people haven't quit playing with some of the changes made. If vets want a tougher challenge the press BW to make "platinum only" changes OR better yet make a "player only" setting that nerfs your skills/damage. As one vet to another, you have to remember that not ALL people play the same way, have the same skill or have a full manifest. What might be easy for you is a really tough time for others.[/quote]

I just don`t know why nothing was added to reaper faction to maket things more interesting.

Also.. Dragoon does not need buff.
Fastest moving enemy that is armored... this already makes this enemy way more powerful compared to others.

On Dragoons; was probably carrying this one match, and I got downed by a Centurion grenade while two Dragoons rushed me. I usually hold off on the gels until I'm either going to be stomped or the counter runs down, but the Dragoons have such a fast animation for everything that I was stomped before I even registered that it was a possibility. Match failed, because the two remaining players couldn't handle all of the firepower being focused on them. It's just another thing to adapt to, but their curbstomp is definitely much more rapid and less avoidable, so that's a thing.

Mostly, slayin, I agree, but considering that a large portion of the playerbase struggles with these enemies, I doubt they need a buff. Buffs and nerfs shouldn't be based only on the good players. If a lot of folks have trouble with them compared to other enemy types, then that's the closest thing we have to an objective measure of their strength. Until players get better at dealing with Dragoons, they're fine as is. Most folks have always struggled with Reapers, and they were initially the most powerful faction, so I don't know what to say about that..

the concept of MP is simple.
start with starter equipment on bronze. earn credits, hone your skills unlock better stuff move up to silver and repeat.

the issue people are having is they turned it into a how quick can i unlock stuff game and now are mad that they actually have to play it instead of having an easy win button.

If you go into a gold match with a harrrier you can rape things. If your best pistol is a predator X you shouldn't be playing gold.

Slayin, this is the most reasonable reply on this thread, and you didn't seem to see what they were saying.  Thus I will clarify.  Dragoons can wipe most PUGs.  For whatever reason, be it underpreparedness, unawareness, or ineptitude, they destroy most randoms.

We must consider their reletive difficulty compared to the other factions, because an enemy in void is never a problem.  That is why it is possible to beat this game.  /clarification

It is not reasonable to demand the other players of a game to get better at it so that it is entertaining for you, however, I would agree that people should aquaire some basic weaponry before advancing to the next difficulty, that is not the only variable to consider.

I have been in games with randoms who had an excelent armory, and still struggled against Dragoons.  In silver.  I had to run around keeping an eye out for this one enemy specifically because I had a falcon, making me the only one who could lock them down and deal out some punishment at the same time.  And even though I am an experienced silver player, they took me out quite a few times as well.

I think that they are effective at what they were meant to do already, for the majority of the player base, that is.  I also believe that they fit poorly with the rest of cerberus.  If they were to employ hit and run, or try to flank like Phantoms, that would be neat, but they don't.  And lastly, I think that, like others have said here, there is too little data to come to an accurate conclusion on what needs to be done with them.  Give them another week for players to adjust.  I remember Phantoms killing me all of the time in the demo, but I figured them out.  Perhaps once the community figures out this new enemy, you will see buffs.

Here's the point.
Just had a kid join my Plat lobby with a lvl 20 Asari Justicar, holding a Harrier I. Not a bad set-up right?
But then you look at the rest:
Stabilizer mod...nothing else...
Assault Rifle Amp (gear) I...nothing else...

We vote to kick and suddenly I hear a 12 year old voice going "Yo, man. Yo, man. Don't kick me, Imma BEAST yo!"

The 3 of us tried to explain WHY we were kicking him...so he said he'd use something else that he's got more for...New set-up?

Lvl 16 Quarian Infiltrator with a Raptor IV...HVB I and Enhanced Scope III

Instant-Kick.

Kids get on these forums reading all these "Beast" set-ups, try to use them, and bring the entire team down because they don't know what they are doing.
People post on here saying that "Gold is too easy" and suddenly gold lobbies are FILLED with people that DON'T know what they are doing, they're only there because someone said "Gold is too easy"

Ever since banshee magnet grabs were fixed (thank for the BTW) they are complete push overs. w/o the risk of a cheap death you have to actually make a mistake to be grabbed now. It won't randomlly happen from 80 meters away anymore. Brutes are a complete joke, banshees are only a problem if you let them get close enough to 1 hit. cannibals and husks are jokes. ravagers are jokes. The only somewhat threat is maurders and you need a couple of them firing at you anyway. I think buffing the repaers would be a good idea

Also dragoons are a complete joke. I love the way they are agressive and pull people out of cover, but with the slow smash animation and weak armor and thyere 3 shot burst then stop they aren't much of a threat. maybe adding a shield or barrier to them and making them fire a bit more often instead of smashing eveyrhting would help.

on an unrelated note. seeker swarms suck. The fury is horrible against collectors. between seeker swarms stopping your powers, and posessed abominations running into your AF field with low health and killing you it sucks. lol.

I agree about Brutes. Other than their charge attack registering hits beyond the range of the animation, there's really nothing dangerous about them and they generally die before ever getting a chance to attack. They could use a buff.

Dragoons I think are fine as is.
