Weapon loadout is still the best indicator of skill.. what consumables someone puts on also is.

Also... when I saw the challenge page... the completionist in me was like "Yaaaaaa!"

Must be an Xbox problem. Personally, I think it was a good idea because it encourages people to try harder and improve themselves. Also got me back into playing the game.

I don't really care about how many challenge points someone has. N7 rating can possibly be a first indicator, but loadout and wheter or not consumables are equipped (on gold) is the biggest thing I look for.

I've been kicked more lately just due to having more then 1 banner (can only wear one but point count shows a person has more then one)then I ever have since starting me3 and I don't talk Bs on the Mic

Never would have kicked as much tail with either batarian this weekend, if it weren't for the blood pack challenge. I will get that banner. Setting it as a goal for friday night, 450 total waves to go between 3 kits and I will have it.

It will be mine, and it will be glorious.

I think it adds a fresh level to the game. I like now having an excuse to use the rubbish weapons and powers that I would have not touched before. There may be alot of weak ass weapons, but at least now they have some purpose.

Except not now, as people are using rubbish weapons to complete challenges. I picked up my GPR X for the first time in months to give it a whirl for the Marksman banner.

Challenges give variety in weapon, power, faction and map choices. It's good.

I specifically went for Mathemagician and Machnist just because they represent me (sort of) as a Mass Effect Player. I've been a true blue, genuine, bonafide engineer since the moment I saw the character creation screen at the start of Mass Effect. Otherwise, I really don't care.

:crying: ...just like me.

There should be a brofist smiley on here.

Challenges make the game marginally less-monotonous. Keep them.

I've been playing borderlands with me3 on occaision and those challenges will be drawing me back for sometime, FAR more than the credit and store system. The challenge system is hands down the best addition to this game, I wish it was in there to begin with.

Oh man. Not really related, but the other day I was playing with N1GHTH3R0. Novaguard melee + Bat Falcon Punch = Epic brofist. Made my day. :D

Certain types of players will find any excuse to kick. I would like to see more rewards/challenges for teamplay, though. I'm not sure how it would work or how the game would keep track of them, but there must be some way to reward players for playing well as a team.

Like giving scoreboard points to the Volus who keeps the rest of the team alive, or duos who are good at priming/detonating combos, etc.

I actually agree. People need to not judge others by their challenge accomplishments.

To any who are reading this: Remember that not everyone has time to play mass effect for ten hours straight like a lot of you do. Some of us are in school, have jobs, and actually have lives.

So just because somebody hasn't completed a ton of challenges doesn't mean they aren't a good player. Maybe they just don't play as often due to busy lives.

It is good and bad.  People hop into a difficulty where certain weapons don't cut it and that is the bad.  The good is that it adds some reason to use every weapon and class

Operation points. The points gained from deactivating, hacking, escorting, and delivering. Would be extremely easy. I'd suggest making a thread, actually. It would be easy to pursue.

Poor player is buthurt?

Either you didn't promote much OR you did, and hate being on the bottom of the heap. I feel you on the second, but the first....meh

The challenges are great. The need to display a numeric indicator is just as bad as displaying your N7 rank though. My favorite part is now knowing how many times I've promoted each class, but I certainly agree that information should be private as well. In the end, I think the challenge system is fine and provides a way to personalize yourself in the lobby, but I also think that e-peen values have no place other than on a leaderboard.

Challenge system made me try out and appreciate some old, dusty guns I've forgotten and deemed useless. Now that I have a lot more experience in this game, I found even the GPR, Vindicator and Disciple not as bad as I used to think them to be, scoring 1st or 2nd on gold. Damn, even Avenger wasn't "that" terrible. Still want to try Katana, Eviscerator and some crazy Turian headshot build with Shuriken ;)

I'd love to see something like
Extract X times as all-turian/asari/human/geth/etc. squad
Extract X times as all-adept/engineer/etc. squad
If it required at least 3 players on a team, it could mean that you actually had to communicate and cooperate. Well, tracking stuff like duo shield-strip/lift unshielded or player 1 prime/player 2 detonate could be hard to code it buglessly, but would be fun, too.

People keep asking me about the "Dog of War" banner, everyone thinks it's for the Bloodpack challenge.

My poor little Volus can mend shields, but not broken hearts.
