Everytime I try to download 1.02a, i get a message saying "an error occured applying the 1.02 update to your version of Dragon Age: Origins. [36]"
Is there anyway i can fix this?

Exactly what patch method are you attempting to use?  Have you tried going directly to the patch's executable file and using that? 

Get the file first, then run it without the web site's interference.
