So I have been trolled by the servers for months now.  Not a day goes by without me getting disconnected.  I never had a problem with anyother games until I played Crackdown 2 with a friend and kept getting disconnected.  I did a speed test and here it is.

I don't really understand ping, but I understand the download and upload portions. Is it bad to have my ping at 33? Just trying to figure out if it is EA's crappy servers or my ISP. Either one and I am screwed because this is the only ISP that is available because I chose to live in the boonies here in Florida. Some clarification would be nice. I just don't know what to do, I love this game but I don't think I can play it anymore because of the constant letdown of getting disconnected and losing not only consumables, but any progress I have made towards challenges. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ping of 200+ on a game like Killing floor starts to get a bit laggy. A 33 ping would be an awesome game.

Speed isn't everything.

Your speeds are about 2-3 times what I get; I have disconnections sometimes but I'm not sure its daily.

Ping is the time it takes for a packet of information to reach the server you're attempting to reach and then to get it back. Basically the lower the better. Your connection is amazing, when I was playing me3 when I first started I had like 144 ping and 1.4mbps download speed and like 0.5mbps upload speed. For games you mostly have to worry about ping... I'm not sure why you're getting disconnected... Are you sure you're getting disconnected from servers and not just the hosts?

[edit] on my old connection with those ****ty speeds I have never gotten disconnected unless people were on the computer and I started lagging hardcore. You could call your ISP and ask why you aren't able to connect to their servers... Also resetting your router could reset your DNS settings and let you connect better, I know sometimes my Xbox won't connect due to a DNS problem and I reset my router and I'm good to go

[edit 2 -.-] I mean connect to xbl in general

Just something to look into, not knowing how old your router is... We started having issues with disconnection occasionally, and then it got to the point where we were getting disconnected constantly for about a week (weird stuff, too... sometimes wireless would be working while hard connections weren't, or visa versa). We tried everything we could think of - speed tests looked good. And then we had an a-ha moment and replaced our router. Good to go ever since!

I am using a wireless modem supplied by my ISP. I am going to assume it is on EA's side because I am still connected to XBL and the only other game I had an issue with is pretty old and not too many people play anymore. Thanks for the info.
