Yeah, I support that post.

I hated the original endings because they were both half-assed and overly depressing and basically: WTF JUST HAPENED?! Is Star Travel ruined for generations?! WTF IS THIS KID TALKING ABOUT?(Actually, both kids, Starkid and the other one in the 'epilogue')
Why the hell did they make their own awesome universe to DESTROY it with DARK AGE ending. And then this DLC bullcrap message like a kick in the balls, because they could!

EC fixed all that, gave us some additonal info and made destroy ending (which was my favourite anyway, I'll never let Reapers get ouf this alive) actually on par-with the others removing this millenia dark-age crap.

As for faith in Bioware? I surely have faith in their character creation skill as I'll probably remember people like Garrus or Wrex, Liara&Tali forever. As for their main-story script: medicore at best.
And I hate their DLC policy, it's bull****. 5h of SP gameplay in the price of full game. Yeah, right.

So no, I'm by no means Bioware lover, CDP:R & Blizzard hold that throne for me.

as of right now 343i holds that throne for me

As of right now, I'm looking forward to Obsidian's new Kickstarter game more than anything Mass Effect related.

I consider every post of mine an opinion unless I state otherwise.

That works for statements that are inherently opinionated, such as preference or statements of quality. When you are making a statement that is either demonstrably true or false in the empirical sense, then you do need to qualify it as your opinion.

I never use the word "fact" in an debate, you however did despite it not been a known "fact".

When you say "Chris Priestly is a liar look at his history" then that is not opinion. That is something either demonstrably true or false and hiding behind "your opinion" doesn't cut it. That is your slander, by the way.

There was no backtracking, you just intepreted my post as me presenting facts, I was not.

You were either backtracking or deficient in debate. That you want to say everything you post is relativistic and therefore you shouldn't have to qualify it hints at the latter.

And you are right, I did say we know it sold the best out of any ME DLC, so I will add a phrase: We know that BioWare has stated it is their best selling DLC to date.

Which is still more than what you have.

It's an opinion, it is your problem if you interpreting it as a fact.
IRL everything I say is an opinion, I don't see why this would be any different.
Unless I state something as being  true or fact, again I don't see why this would be any different.
You're merely confusing a debating language with factual language.
Chris priestly is a liar, he made many comments that were just plain wrong and lies.
To state that he was not a liar would be incorrect, I guess it is part of his job to spread bulls**t.
I know you're a serious bio - drone, but even you sure be able to know this, put your trollish ways behind you and quit ignoring the truth.
It's really just my opinion of his history, I evaluate him to be a liar, if you confuse my language to be as me stating facts then that is really your problem.

It's only Bioware's view that it sold the best out of any DLC, I don't use opinions to make judgements.
I have good estimate that it sold less, Bioware doesn't have anything other than a statement which is probably a lie given their recent history.

Like many of you I was dissatisfied with the original endings but after just finishing the extended cut my faith in Bioware is restored. I even started a second playthrough and can't wait for Omega to come. Thank you Bioware for your commitment to the fanbase and for the countless hours of enjoyment you have given me.

HAHAHA!!

If the original endings affected you that much. It wouldn't have taken you 3 months just to play through the Extended Cut. So any new threads praising BioWare for the EC now, should be looked upon with suspicion. Since, you know. It got released that long ago...

Also, don't speak about their commitment to the fanbase. They put a bandaid on a knife wound instead of stitching it back up. I don't think this fanbase will ever forget BioWare stabbed them until the wound is closed completely. And by the looks of things. BioWare are just trying to sweep it under the rug. But what happens when you ignore a wound such as this?

It gets infected and becomes worse.

well I have a different opinion.

Well I have a differing opinion to your different opinion.

FACT: Mr. Priestly has been known to lie about certain elements regarding Mass Effect games This is nothing against him personally as he will answer any personal questions regarding Mass Effect honestly. As a community manager, he can't be 100% truthful or he'd probably be fired. And with his "frontline" job in regards to the massing fanbase, he can only bend the truth or hide in ambiguity for so long before someone corners him in which he's forced to lie.

Why should it be looked upon with suspicion ? Do you look upon guys who "will never buy another bioware game again" and yet still come on the bsn daily, with suspicion ? cause you know, if the original endings affected them that much, it wouldn't have taken them 6 months to move on. Since, you know, it got released that long ago.

no, but here some food for thought.

1: EA employees have been known to do similar stuff
2: Regardless of what chris really thinks he CANNOT speak his mind fully and never will. Hell to this day only ONE BW employee ever sincerely apologized for some of ME's shortcomings and I doubt you even know who he is.

Do I know if my friends/squaddies/galaxy are okay? Yes. That was the main outstanding thing I wanted closure on so yea, EC did its job.

The concept of AI vs organics is nothing new so I had no problem with that, and the conflict resolution? Meh, could have been worse.

If you wanna call people ignorant, make sure you know how to spell it.
Also, I'm not sure how any of this is related to boundless ignorance. If the fact that it's not "just" about the way it ended proves anything, it's that you should have moved on even before.

Bioware took the time to make additional content free of charge, you have to be utterly self-centered to claim that's not a good thing just because it might not be something you enjoyed.

People will state the obvious by saying that this was a business move.

No matter how you look at it they only did the EC because they care about keeping the franchise alive. Something that does more good than harm should not rustle so many peoples' jimmies.
