You do know it is a bannable offense right?

not if i turn off gameplay feedback to bioware in the options menu :bandit:....

No it is still a bannable offense, and you're still a fool if you think that will protect you. Just because you turned off logging doesn't mean the others you're playing with have, and their logs might still include your actions and handle. Especially the server's.

if you read previously i mention i don't know how to do it so it wouldnt make a difference would it, but feel free to come across like d***, and what if i play with 3 friends who also turn off feedback then:bandit:

Hey I'm just giving you information feel free to take it gracefully or as a jab. But the rumor that turning off feedback would protect is just that. One of those friend of a friend told me that only fools actually believe at face value.

Q: Is it true that if players turn there feedback options off, then you
wouldn’t get any information on your servers to investigate whether
someone has cheated?

A:
A lot of the information we use to investigate cheating is stored
server side, so turning your “feedback” option to “off” will not
actually stop you completely from sending data to the server (Since it
is required for you to connect and do most things in the multiplayer
environment). Long story short, they’re wrong.

So no turning off your feedback is not going to save you. If you want to take my doling of information as being a d*** go ahead.

Yeah, people who I've seen missile glitching on PS3, seem to use either the Arc pistol+striker or Acolyte+Striker. I feel like charged weapons play a factor into this glitch.

Well if statements made by Devs aren't going to convince you then I guess you've already made your decision on what you're going to choose to believe then. Nothing I can do to stop you, but I don't know why you challenged the notion then if you'd already decided what you were going to believe despite any information and facts provided. A real graceful way to exit an argument there "WELL YAH THATS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE HURR I'VE ALREADY BASICALLY DECIDED YOU'RE WRONG THOUGH SO YAH I'M STILL CORRECT DURR CONTRADICTING EVIDENCE? NO I'M STILL RIGHT"

Saying if you knew how to commit identity theft you would doesn't make you look like an upstanding citizen, some people don't like that. So be prepared to have people upset at you when you openly state you would cheat if you knew how. Also stating this on BW's forums is akin to stating you'd commit bank robbery if you had a gun while inside a police station loud enough for people to hear... Not exactly the smartest move.

As for being on top of it. Actually I agree, it looks like the software fix didn't in a programming sense... "go for the throat". They should have made it logically impossible to attach the missile projectile to another weapon. Perhaps by making it a private class with only a few friend classes that had access or passing down to the projectile what weapon class was using it, I don't know their code but something more concrete. It looks like they made a softer fix that still had a loophole.

To people wondering why.

It's the same reason people duped in D2. Just without the trade market.

Missile glitch is unique to consoles, don't forget that whatever is done to 'fix' your bug, effects the PC players too.

I really don't see how they can ban all the missile glitchers, it'll kill the game.

Simple solution: give missiles a diminishing return per game, squad wide.
It could kick in around, say, 10 missiles. That's a pretty reasonable amount.

And no, it doesn't have to be the damage that gets reduced from the DR. Might as well reduce the radius instead, since the glitchers can't aim, and taking out a single enemy from a whole pack could be done much faster with some other guns, they'd only end up hurting themselves more.

Not this again. Please bioware... I will continue to play this game indefinitely because I enjoy it immensely. However, if missile glitchers start showing up like the plague again... I'm done.

I play this game for the challenge, teamwork, and fictional universe. Glitching I do not tolerate. It's enough trouble finding a decent pug, if I need to start screening glitchers again... No thanks. I'd rather enjoy a good book in my free time.

Just do what I do. I report them to Xbox live for cheating and then leave negative feedback on their gamer tag. Microsoft smashes cheaters much faster then EA/Bioware. Also, when you get banned from Xbox live it is for good. Once they ban a console you will never play online with it again. Same thing for gamer tags. Understand this; cheating is not a way to get even with EA/Bioware for any thing real and/or imagined they may have done to you. Cheating is a personality flaw. And BTW, what does gay marriage and being a moral ***** have anything to do with cheating in a video game? If you want a good team oriented player to play with, hit me up as I am online around 1900 to 2300 every night playing. You will not be disappointed. Check out manifest.

Thanks,

Jerramie

also couldn't BW just remove the striker and krysea from the game? they are trash weapons anyway

BW, like most developers, do not remove content. Content can be nerfed to oblivion, but not removed.
Hence, the striker and krysae nerfs.

Also, people should not assume Krysae users are missile glitching. From what I understand of how the Glitch works, the Krysae would actually be a terrible weapon for this because it only has 3 shots, long recover time after each shot.

So basically clarkusdarkus you're just a dlck. Arguing for the sake of arguing. Cheat if you want to. When your name is reported to EA/Bioware don't **** when you get kicked. :P

People missile glitch to get fast credits to get URs to... what, exactly? Bragging rights? Why not just play the damn game?

I don't missle glitch, but I assume because 'the damn game" has the worst unlock system in the entire history of mankind.  Why unlock the new class you are excited to try, when you can unlock a new skin tone for your justicar... or a geth pulse rifle IX?  Seriously, if I knew I could missle glitch and not get banned for it, I would do it until I at least unlocked all the characters.

I still find some good games, occasionally yeah, but it would help if there was no glitch to begin with.

Weeding through is a choir.

Cheating on genesis =/= to cheating in a game with real money trading involved. QED. No denying that. Also that is why it is a comparison, never said the two were equivalent "crimes" any perceived preaching is just perceived.

Everything comes back to the host though, if the host is programmed not to allow that projectile to fire from any other weapon it will not happen. The client may see it , but it won't have any effect.

I havent seen many glitchers on xbox. Certainly less than before... They changed some weapons to prevent it but striker hasnt been changed or falcon i think. Easiest way would be remove charging from all weapons or set a max limit of missiles launched per player per game after which launcher no longer fires.

By the way, the recent difficulty spike also males plat close to unplayable imho :P

It's even worse now that they appear to no longer be investigating the glitching. You know, since it was "fixed." You have cheaters topping leader-boards. The inadequate response to the problem has turned many people off from the game, and will continue to do so. Furthermore, the "catalyst" behind missile glitch farming hasn't even once been addressed - the terrible store system.
