We get it, BioWare, you want a unit that can reliably bust us from cover. Ok, no problem with that.
You gave him a run speed over 9000 FTL. I'm still ok with that.
You gave him the ability of shooting accurately his Hornet while staggerlocking you with his smash. Still ok.
But seriously, make him take cover. Not much. Just when he gets LoS on the player, for instance. That'd be enough for me. Not for long, maybe half a second.
But please don't make him act like a ****** running to his death.
Discuss. (If you disagree, fine, but I hope we can have a civil conversation)

I still maintain that if Nemesis AI was fixed to be more dangerous (grouping up), some kind of dangerous melee; that would fix the easiness of the race.

Don't agree. Dragoons are excellent blitzkrieg units. They're there to punish you do not watching your six, which they do spectacularly. I tell people over the mic which waves they spawn on and they still get smashed to death
Yes, except on small maps like Glacier, Jade, etc.. You can be sure that by the time you kill 3 Dragoons, 3 other Dragoons have respawned and are just behind you.
Sure, you can control spawns, but do you really expect a PuG team to do that effectively? Screwing up spawns is a PuG's specialty. Watching your 6 is nice and all, but if they respawn within 15 meters, you barely have the time to turn around.

Cerberus needed some mobility. This is a great unit that fits in the lore. They aren't very scary, just a pain to target. A slight buff maybe, but really because Cerberus is still a pushover on Gold.

I'm all for a Nemesis buff. They're why Cerberus was considered a joke pre patch.

I'll never understand why they are only armor with no health; they aren't a synthetic or true Reaper-ized creature.

"oh look, a Dragoon"
Throw any power or shoot once.
Dragoons goes into cover

Even with armor they are one of the weakest enemies. They are easier to take down than an enemy with two levels of protection as long as you have a decently heavy hitting weapon. They are also easily staggered.

Reason I think they are only armor is to allow them to fullfill their function as a rushdown unit to complement the phantom. If they weren't armor, Stasis would stop them in their tracks like it does every cerb unit.

for people who dont spam stuff like you do, they are difficult
to be able to lunge, lash and shoot at practically the same time should be fixed, not to mention that they are too aggressive in terminals like they have no regard for their own lives. and they can stomp on you too when you are down, that is too much power for one particular unit IMO

They also are the perfect partner for a Phantom. Think of the Phantoms like Field Commanders of the melee unit, and the Dragoons are the foot soldiers. 3 of them for every 1 Phantom and they swarm people in classic "Bee" fashion.

So basically, you agree with me. Ok, cool.

If I shoot them in the face, I want them to stagger, not just spam lash at me like the drugged out Cerberus freaks that they are. Even if they supposedly feel no pain, the physical force should throw them back. Heck, if even the Krogan can be staggered, why not the Dragoon?
And yes, if they take cover, I may have time to reload between the first and second Dragoon.

The closing speed is just outlandish. On Dragoon waves you end up spending the entire wave budget on the Dragoon trio that shows up over and over again.

But yeah, something needs to be done about their speed of approach, or failing that, SOUND. I would accept no nerfs at all if they actually made some noise.

Also please give them a unique voice. Sounding like a Centurian, is down right insulting to the Dragoons. It would also give players an auditory "cue" as well.
