As I was playing Da2, I got this prophecy from sandal.

One day the magic will come back. All of it. Everyone will be just like
they were.
The shadows will part and the skies will open wide. When he
rises, everyone will see.

Sandal prophecy

^ Who is sandal talking about? I've been narrowing down the list of suspects that could fit the Id of some Awe inspiring super power.

The maker - √ Seems likely, as a god could cleanse the world and transfigure his creations

The creators - √ I don't like putting much stock in pagan gods but there is no denying the varterral do exist ,so I suppose they could be coming back to return the magic all elves once held.

Flemeth - x  She's female

Morrigan - x She's female

Morrigan's son - x Gaider said the son would only occur with a romanced warden or one who did the ritual

ArchDemon - x They only control Darkspawn and haven't shown that they hold any real power over the reality of thedas.

Sandal - √ The boy could be something else trapped in another form.

Coryphaeus - √ After legacy, I wouldn't put it past him to have some ritual that can alter the world.

Ideas?

I like the idea of The Creators returning but it would likely be the Maker (voiced by Morgan Freeman)

It says someone will rise...... the Maker doesn't need to rise for anything.

Maybe it was about the games. Like, you know, the "magic" of Origins will come back. :P They will go back to the original art style, and so everyone will be as they were - i.e. darkspawn.

Well, the rage demon in Origins says there is no Maker and no Golden City (that latter point seems reinforced by Corypheus). Of course it doesn't have to mean anything, but I like the idea.

There's also Eleni Zinovia's prophecy from Witch Hunt to consider:

"This prison is breached. I see the encroaching darkness. The … the shadow will consume all …"

Both Sandal and Eleni could be referring to the Maker … or someone masquerading as the Maker.

"I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron."

if Christopher Walken voices the maker he must say that line.

I think BioWare stated somewhere they would not do anything that proved/disproved the maker's existence. Not sure if true though.

Any line spoken by Christopher Walken is an awesome line. Doesn't matter what he says.

I demand the Maker to be voiced by Vin Diesel in his Riddick voice!

Magic coming back refers to the shredding of the barrier between the Fade and the real world, which is inevitable result of the mage/templar war.

As for 'he' it is a reference to Morrigan's son, as unless he exists in your playthrough, Sandal never says this.

idk about the rest.

I've no idea what Sandal's prophecy could mean, but I hope we'll get to know it somehow.

If He does, I hope we get the chance to kill Him. Should be a good boss fight.

After that "not enchantment" thing, he did to the ogre in the Deep Roads, I doubt, that trying to kill him, would be that funny.

The magic will come back is awfully reminiscent of that one tranquil that Anders gives back his fade connection for a little bit. There might be a connection there.

Also, I have this pet theory that "the Memories", "the Fade", and "Lyrium" are all the same thing, in a way. If Lyrium can store memories, then it seems logical that it can store impressions and feelings as well. Powerful feelings take on a life of their own and become demons or spirits. How exactly the dwarven immunity works, or how magic comes to be, I'm not certain of yet. Still, I hope Bioware have something brilliant in mind for how it is all connected.

As for the rest of the prophecy, who "he" is I'm not sure of, but I'd put my hand sooner on Fen'Harel than the Maker. The Maker will clearly be as non-existent as the christian deity, and its proponents will clearly be as hardy in defending its existence even as more and more evidence crops up that points in other directions. At least, I think that's how it will go. The alternative is never learning any of the secrets in Thedas' history, which would turn me off from this series in a heartbeat.

*Walken appears in a puff of smoke*
"He hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ass.
Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then, when he died of
dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal
up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my
family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you"

*Walken poofs away*

I fear it is something to do with elves... and I have elves...

I believe the maker does exist... but it will not be him...

Perhaps Kal-Sharok has dwarven mages (sandal being one of them) Perhaps the dwarves of Kal-Sharokfound an untainted old god and plan to release him

But Sandal is talking about magic to come back. Did the dwarves ever have magic, so that it could come back to them? Whereas the elves once had magic, but lost it, except for only a few of them.

I can only assume they did have magic once, but being close to lyrium made them almost immune to it. They must have been a surface people long before he first thaig was built... not only that but Genlocks can use magic... they are basically half dwarfs...

Really interesting thought ... at least Sandal is a dwarf and is able to use some kind of magic.

Actually, the Maker will be voiced by a SeeNSay.
