Soloing Platinum isn't hard, it's tedious. Big difference there. Anyone with a basic understanding of the game mechanics can solo any difficulty. It is just a simple matter of running away from the boss units until you have whittled down the spawn pool to 0.

Personally, I don't want to waste 75-90 minutes of my game time running around the map away from enemies. I'd rather do 3 Gold solos in that time if I fill like soloing.

If its so easy then why don't I have it? I consider myself a player of about average skill and play gold every time I get online. Gold is not bronze. Pfft, OP, you ain't nothing.

I've solo'd Diamond difficulty using a Drell Vanguard with a Predator.  Also set enemy to Sovereign-class Reapers.

I've done platinum solo quite a few times before the DLC arrived. I have plans to go against the collectors and show them who's game it is. I actually find platinum easier doing solo rather than multiplayer. This is because you do your own thing. You don't have to run around reviving or going out your way to help a fat chubby volus beat a prime down.

See the thing is though, there is an entire grade of people here who play nothing but platinum, there are people here who solo it. I am neither. But i recognize some of the names. People like redjohn. You know what i like about redjohn. He is not an **** about how skilled he is. Where redjohn's posts are inspiring and encouraging, yours op are disheartening and discouraging. Presuming the op is a legit badass, he would be the anti-redjohn.

Redjohn would smoke this guy to be honest.
