Bring back a Notes page in the journal where we can type in self-notes to ourselves.  I very much liked it in NWN, as I sometimes have large (or even short) gaps between playing a game and I have totally forgotten what was I doing (like, which quest I wanted to do next or what my PC has been up to .... sometimes it has been so long that I cannot remember what alignment my PC is or who they were even romancing).  I know one quick solution is writing it down on paper, but like most pieces of paper they get lost.  I liked having that ability in NWN to just jot things down.  For somtimes multi-part fetch quests or potion ingredients, it is also a clear place to jot stuff down (sometimes not so easy to sift through codex entries).

I would be skeptical of them putting this in, if only because of the consolization of games. It takes over 30 seconds to put in just a name with a console that doesn't have a keyboard. To implement this feature would only be something that would be relevant to PC players. Which I wouldn't inherently be against, but Bioware has taken the stance more than once before that the usually don't like features that one version of the game has that another does not.

The thing I missed in DA2 that was great to have in DAO was that the journal kept track of your recent dialogue -- I used that when I made my DAO fan-fic.

I like the idea of a notes page. Both the PS3 and PC versions of DAO allowed you to type in the name of your dog. I don't know if you could on Xbox for DAO or on either console for DA2. It's up to the player whether they would use it. It might be that console players would type shorter notes or have more abbreviations but that doesn't mean they wouldn't like it or use it.
