Cortana by FAARRRRRRR.

Edi's great and all, but Cortana has something about her that everyone can connect with. The dev's said it best in one of Halo 4's ViDocs...Cortana is the most human character in the entire series.

I was never a fan of Halo until I played Reach. The ending is one of my favorite endings ever (in that it is literally impossible to win). Whoever came up with it had some balls, as that definitely wouldn't fly in Mass Effect 3.

I find Cortana far more interesting, with her trying to accept her mortality and all.

Also, Cortana had a lot more memorable dialogue for me.

Well in the Halo lore, the ending to Reach was inevidible from the start because Reach falling and getting glassed was part of the book that came out right before Halo 1

Oh, I didn't mean the fall of Reach specifically, I just meant *SPOILERS*



The main protagonist fighting to the death like a true Spartan. I would have been perfectly happy with an ending to ME3 in which Shep valiantly fought to the death. In fact, I was expecting it.

I didn't read the Halo books, but unless Noble Six was the protagonist of that book and it ended the same way, the writers could have BS'ed an ending in which he somehow made it off Reach. ie - a forced happy ending. But the one they gave was not only epic, but also consistent with Halo lore and the concept of a Spartan themselves. It was well done, I thought.

Every now and then I'm cruising through the channels and pass Fox News. There's this news anchor that looks a lot like her. Smoking hot. /endtangent

It's been mentioned that EDI has a rather generic AI-seeing-the-world-bit, while Cortana already has this kinda stuff figured out. I would like to agree. However, EDI never screwed up my vision, something for which Cortana cannot be forgiven. Then again, my view's probably biased: I only ever seen Cortana on Halo3, which paled in comparison to Reach. Lack of 360 doesn't help matters. EDI seems more useful, until I had to haul her under-equip carcass around Cerb HQ.
I think I derailed somewhere. Anywho, Robo-EDI no longer exists in my headcanon, so the one who flies the ship wins.

Totally agree. I love EDI, and she is one of my favorite characters, but 100% have to go with Cortana.
