When there's guns like the Saber (which outperforms it in everyway), the GPS, and the Graal (both of which fufill the long range shotgun role)?

It's a heavy paperweight.

It's the only shotgun in the game that shoots a slug.

It was made specifically for use by me.

All others need not apply...In fact, just give me all your Crusaders so I can have Crusader CIXII!

Bioware, make it happen!

So EA and Bioware can troll a sniper like me by never allowing my to unlock the Valiant. Six unlocks in a row is why I no longer do the Operations.

Because a good shotgun with N7 on the front of it's name hadn't been thought of yet.

Some people like it. I don't, but I recognize that there are those who do.

When I first got the CSR, I thought "Great! Now I no longer have to keep longing for the Valiant!". Then I thought, now that I no longer need it, I'll probably get it in my next Commendation Pack.

Apparently, I still need it

If it weren't for the strange aiming thing, it would actually be a very good shotgun.

The issue is that it doesn't exactly always shoot where you're aiming.

I like it, it can be quite fun, aim for headshots and its sick. It also ignores armor

The slug it shoots is capable of shooting through thin materials, similar to the Javelin and M-98 Widow.

The Crusader has a natural armor-piercing property, enough to bypass cover and Guardian shields.

I've used it and had quite a bit of fun with it, pair it with Marksman and <3

I would like to see an improvement to this gun widely disliked for what it is. Some design change would be nice.

Keep the long distance accuracy feature, give it some force knockback effect, a powerful close quarter burst.  Make it a gun with dual usage close range and distance.  Perfect combination, worthy of the romance of an N7 promotional weapon special.

Always thought the Crusader as is, too simple a design, too similar to every other guns around.  With an extra close range bonus damage, you can now use it on geth Hunters or Phantoms very effectively, and immediately target far and away enemies without switching weapons.

The best.  I can dream, but I hope they implement it.  It's better then the awkwardness that it is now.  Give it a beastly feel, call the the 666, the bad ass.  Instead of Crusader, call it the Devil.  Argh, love it.

that and it's damn heavy.

The claymore is heavy but it's very powrful. IMO it's the best balance weapon. Only if the crusader was balance accordingly...then I'd have a reason to use it

The Crusader is powerful, if you can actually hit things with it.

The thing is that the Crusader is basically an improved Black Widow without a scope, while the Claymore is a hand cannon that aims to kill things at close to mid range in 1 shot. They're two entirely different styles of shotgun.

coming from someone that A, hates the weapon with a passion, and B, has it on IX, it's actually pretty fun with the damage mod + shredder mod on destroyer. It's not all that good against armor, but its ALOT better then what its been in the past.

Do you know of any other high-power, high-recoil weapons with perfect accuracy, no scope, built-in AP and access to shotgun mods?

No? Well then, it fills a niche.

PS: @iDevour: Armor is the only thing it's actually good at taking out. everything else is too small, too difficult to get a full mag in without slowing down your RoF or doing something tricky. Still, one shot will hurt like hell.

It's there so you don't have to use the Katana or Scimitar to get the Street Sweeper challenge.
