The Eagle X actually has the stats to be easily among the best fully automatic weapons in the game.

The Eagle I though just sucks, and thats what I've got...

Because a good shotgun with N7 on the front of it's name hadn't been thought of yet.

Let's see... good damage, good accuracy, fast reload. Yeah, it's a good shotgun. And mine is only at rank II.

Awesome weapon, absolutely useless unless you are the host. Just impossible to hit anything with latency.

Love it! rock it on my Kronel & both my Soldarian & Sentarien (Sorry, its fun combining words). Dome shot everything at distance & smack around the rest!

It (The Crusader) can constantly headshot over long distances. I used to use the Crusader/Saber loadout on my Destroyer and I would never use the Saber because of how much the Crusader was outperforming it. When I would run out of ammo on the Crusader I'd just get more ammo for it. I would pull out the saber once or twice when it was either that or die.

Prefect accuracy, high damage, natural piercing, fast ROF, good clip size (4 shots is quite ok), it's a murder machine. Just aim at enemies that're coming for you or stationary. Switch to acolyte to strip shields of a heavy unit, then unleash the crusader. Absolutely deadly on a Destroyer since you shoot it as fast as scimitar and 5-6 shots in a row.

The Crusader is the perfect companion for my favourite character, the Batarian Sentinel. I spec my Bat Sentinel for melee damage, so I don't really need a close range shotgun. I've got Submission Net to line up nice easy headshots on Phantoms, Nemeses, and other such nuisances. It's got built in AP, so I'm free to use a melee mod and a straight damage increase. It's got a decent clip (for a shotgun), and it reloads quickly. It also hits like a frigging truck.

I have to admit that when I first used it in single player I hated the Crusader, but I decided to give it another shot, as I kept getting it from the weekend challenges. It's not as easy to use as the Claymore, the Piranha, or the Reegar, but it's definitely got it's place.

The crusader is the deadliest shotgun overall, once you learn to aim with it and control its power. Its a beast in the hands of someone who is good at headshots and shooting from across the map. I've shot swarmers on rio across the map with the crusader.

Its all about the aim, and honestly the people that don't like the crusader are usually the ones that can't aim with it.

Pretty much my response. Though I'd add that it's great a great long-range option on classes with a Shotgun reduction evo.

Nice to see some love for the Crusader. It's an awesome weapon. The only problem is, now that I reallly like it, I've yet to actually get any more ranks in it. I've been at rank 7 for over a month.

I've been slagging this gun for weeks after I got five in a row in CPs, all the while ignoring the buffs it has been getting, and its pretty damn awesome. As others have pointed out, it murders armoured targets and is a headshot machine. And I wouldn't say that I have perfected the aiming mechanic yet either.

Use a saber instead. You team will thank you for it.

I can only laugh at everyone saying "It doesn't shoot where I aim!"

Truly, truly amusing.

Well, it's either that or it fires blanks about 50% of the time for me. I mean I've had it not connect on Cerberus Turrets and it's not like they're running about the map. I honestly have better success headshotting Phantoms with the Javelin than the Crusader.

I might try it again next time I host a game to see if it's lag related but it really doesn't seem to fire "right" for me - which is a shame as I kinda like it on the Human Soldier otherwise.

Why would they? If you can aim, the crusader does more damage, period.

When there's guns like the Saber (which outperforms it in everyway), the GPS, and the Graal (both of which fufill the long range shotgun role)?

Why do any other assault rifles than the Harrier exist?

Really kind of the same argument.

So EA and Bioware can troll a sniper like me by never allowing my to unlock the Valiant. Six unlocks in a row is why I no longer do the Operations.

That's terrible logic.

Anyway, though I have the Crusader 3 or 4, I can't complain because I also have a Valiant 8.

Was thinking a similar question to the OP this morning. Why buff the Crusader one week and then release the Raider a week or two later which ensures the thing will never see the light of day. Course, this was compounded by receiving a Crusader 5 in my Comm Pack this weekend.

You do realise that those are the two furthest apart Shotguns you could possibly compare, right? Image IPB

It's just a scopeless sniper... use it as such.. It's also got a few perks to it cause it's a shotgun first part (hyper accuracy) it's accuracy is exactly hyper accurate like the saber to the pin point second note the shotgun addatives it takes advantage of the shotgun perks like the SHock Trooper Gear, for bonsu greandes (something the sniper does not have) (though saber does with it's assault) it has a natrual pierce of 1m which stacks up with the 2 piercemods of the shotguns it does not have hipfire penalty like snipers it can be placed on a melee char and still have a long ranged weapon

the issue is not enough gears compliment a shotgun, shotguns should maybe get some sorta accuracy scope or special iron sight/holo sight to aim down

Here is a comparison to Saber VS Crusader

I put up lvl X versions

Saber 535 Base DMG Hold 8 Total 56 Reload 2.9 Sec Recoil 0.8
Crusader 788 Base DMG Hold 4 Total 30 Reload 1.5 sec Recoil 2.9

these guns rivaly shall exist for a long time cause the Crusader base dmg multipliers will blast it's dmg past the Saber making headshots with a cruasder even more of a beast per shot

Saber has a powerful clip hold though so more room for mistakes both guns shall forever rival it's just fact but you can possibly lvl the Saber faster but the Crusader ismore probability of somewhat drop in a 1/4 chance

I often equip the Crusader when I'm playing a character that isn't concerned about cooldown, e.g. Krogan Soldier/Sentinel, Vorcha Sentinel, N7 Destroyer/Demolisher. I like that it does a lot of damage at any range, doesn't have a scope and doesn't require reloading after every shot.

I mainly use it to blast away at the larger, armoured, targets, so I've not had too many problems regarding its accuracy. If I'm using it as my primary weapon it seems a bit lacking in ammunition, but Thermal Clip Capacity is one of the few gear mods that I've managed to max out, so that helps. At the weekend I found that equipping my Vorcha with an Arc pistol to strip shields and the Crusader to kill things worked fairly well, but then I'm only a silver player.

My Crusader is at level 3, which is coincidentally the combined total of all the levels I have in (non-Commendation pack) ultra rare weapons, so I don't have anything like the Saber to compare it to.

Crusader is comparable to the Saber, but swaps four rounds for innate piercing and higher damage.
