Check back a few pages. Real life can get in the way of gaming making frequent Gold or Plat runs all but impossible for some players, so it's a bit baffling that some folks think players that prefer lower difficulties as being lazy or that N7 score is the end-all-be-all of player skill.

Mhm, exactly. That's a very healthy attitude.

However, some people just don't feel well if they don't have someone to put down. Well, yeah, that's true (but it shouldn't). That's why we're a crappy world, but let's not get into such heavy topics, shall we? 

I feel excited when I see someone's video of platinum solo game for example. It doesn't make me unhappy (I cannot solo platinum). If it's a friend, then I am even happier for them. But I do realise that I am just one fish in the pond, and the general case is not the same.

yeah bud i understand that theres a new way to do it no need to inform me. but no one is bringing this up anymore and the patch was so long ago people dont talk about it.
ps there really arent that many missle glitchers, one of my friends did it once but besides that ive never been in a match with a missle glitcher, leechers are much more common

i never ever said you should use n7 to determine skill
what i did say is that people with relatively high n7's (i said 600 in one and 1000 in another) clearly have spent a good chunk of time with the game and should be capable of playing above bronze.

Every single Platinum. Don't even bother with it anymore. Dude in another forum spent an afternoon with glitchers, reaped the benefits then reported them and got banned himself apparently so not even going to bother with it. Can people effectively leech anymore with the 2 minute idle kick and the new anti-cover units? Saw someone try that last Tuesday and he just got mauled by Dragoons and decided to play for real. Ended up being something of the squad's own personal albatross, though. It was a relief wave 10 when he got skewered.

While it should be everyone's own business to play on the difficulty of their own choosing as not everyone wants to be "competitive" but just let off some steam after a hard day's work or just for plain fun of it, i think it's safe to say that bronze is a great place for goofing around and trying new stuff that one might be yet unfamiliar with. Specs, guns, etc.. i'm kind of stuck on silver myself, but i am comfortable with it.

Not all players are fluent and efficient on harder difficulties, and thus it should not be such a big issue...it's just how it is....it's like in real life, not everyone can be a fighter pilot or a mayor even they or others wanted them to.

Not since the new DLC/ balance changes. I play bronze when I don't want to burn through resources. I used to play Gold with my level 18-20 characters... but for some reason, when I play Gold PUG's now, people want to play Geth all the time... and that becomes a huge waste of resources if you get Hunters in a pack stunlocking everyone. When you try to pull the rocket, you usually have to medigel and then rocket. Geth Hunters are ridicuously broken now that they prevent you from avoiding Bomber mines with super stun lock.

I don't. It takes all sorts to make a community. I've had instances whereby teammates don't seem to look good on paper but perform well in matches, and those that look good on paper but don't do as well - continuously I might add.

So it's most enjoyable, for me at least, when you play with the least expectation, give it your best and go into it with the least preconceived notions as much as possible.

There's always something to learn and sometimes you learn it from the most unexpected of players.
