I dunno, I still play bronze for the lulz. When I don't feel like doing anything and just enjoying the in game scenery stuff like that really.

I think that the game is balanced around Gold, so that input about if a weapon/class is too weak or strong should be decided around Gold difficulty.  Naturally if your experience is only in Bronze, then your opinion is pretty much discounted.


As far as just playing Bronze/Silver - if you enjoy the game then that is all that matters.     I have stopped playing bronze since I decided to stop promoting.   If I do play bronze its for a challenge and I usually try some crazy loadout to make it interesting.   Some loadouts are really fun to try once in a while.

Example from today: I asked a random player to walk with the objective drone rather than stay sniping/dying on the other side of the map; they honestly had no clue that the drone would move faster with all of us together.

You always had a natural talent for this game. I've seen you make impression progress in a short time, never mind having every weapon at X. You should be proud of yourself.

People assume too much. I stick mostly to Bronze because I don't like the higher stress of playing at higher difficulty levels. But, I've held my own in quite a lot of Silver and Gold matches. And played a couple of Platinums to extraction. Look down all you want, last I looked I was in the top 1 percent of PS3 players on the N7 Leaderboard and top 2 in the challenges.

Me too, but because of that I find bronze extremely boring. Well, not in the top 2% for challenges, because i've been grinding out Blood pack, but even still i'm in the top 4%.

Seriously though. Those power ones should not be worth twice as much as weapon challenges, when you have to dish out over 3x as much damage. Oh my god, all the waves. That's why i've been playing so much bronze, doing it on anything else would take even longer to get the minimum of 100,000 waves across 5 kits. 

Only 400 more to go. Wheeee...

No. Play where you are comfortable. That said, bronze player, or beginners opinions will be ignored for balance and difficulty issues.

I mean, come on. Vanguards and infiltrators look down at one another. Adepts get pissed at engineers. Everybody loves themselves.

I play goldplus fairly regularly, but I enjoy kicking back with some pubs and leveling sometimes, too. especially with the new challenge system, i predict a lot of people will be singularity-spamming their way through quite a few bronzes.

Playing on Bronze gives you the lowest credit reward. That's insult enough, they don't deserve ridicule for not being 1337 pr0 b3457 players. Typing that hurt my brain just a little.

No need to look down on anyone for playing where they are comfortable. While I personally won't play bronze (unless it is for a quick operation solo), I see nothing wrong with someone playing no matter what. If you want to feel super OP and feel like you can never die it doesn't hurt me any if you play a lower difficulty. My only issue is with players that go into a difficulty above their "skill level" and contribute nothing to a team. If they are down the entire game, not using gel, not using missiles to help out, etc. then that is when I will start looking down on a player.

I don't think people look down on Bronze players, but maybe get frustrated when they venture upto Gold & become a deadweight in the team.

Everyone has their level that they're comfortable with, which is fine with me. As long as people enjoy themselves in the game that is all that matters.

Besides, Gold and Platinum can be ridiculously and uneccessarily stressful sometimes, especially with PUGs! My thoughts exactly. Silver strikes the best balance of difficulty and realism for me. I've done gold without much trouble before but I dislike the boss spam it turns into in later waves.

At any rate I don't look down on people just for what difficulty they prefer, the people that do, do that however... <_<

I'm only in bronze usually either a solo or working with others at times to gain the challenge points for the banners at times when I feel it's not worth a silver match or the power is too much lesser to conjunction alone

and if some dork looks down on me as a n7 720..then they should look at my manifest and shutup

Ignore them. All the gold/plat players were noobs once too, getting steam rolled in bronze for not knowing anything. We all grew up on the school of hard knocks and sometimes forget our origins.

Old people look down on the ignorant youth for not knowing anything, while the young think the old are just stupid for what they think they know. Gotta love class and generational warfare.

Agreed.  Silver is my preference.  Bronze for casual and experimentation.  Gold for when I'm bored.  Platinum is ok but hard to find people who aren't so serious that their head is exploding over trivial things.... which makes sense considering trivial things get you killed in platinum.

So long as they aren't convinced that they're Gold/Platinum level, and bring down the quality of PUGs as a whole, I'm fine. Everyone starts somewhere, and they've got to work their way up in difficulty. The only Bronze players I don't like are the ones who think their Javelin/AA combo is Collector Platinum-viable.

I work 9-5 Mon-Fri, I have college Tues, Wed & Thur 6-9 in the evenings. I have a girlfriend, friends & football to fit in too. I only get a few hours of multiplayer a week, if I'm lucky. I play Gold now & pull in decent scores.

Your excuse doesn't wash with me, sir

I once saw someone use a missile on a Gold escort and missed... twice.  I wish he'd gotten practice on Bronze.
