I work 9-5 Mon-Fri, I have college Tues, Wed & Thur 6-9 in the evenings. I have a girlfriend, friends & football to fit in too. I only get a few hours of multiplayer a week, if I'm lucky. I play Gold now & pull in decent scores.
Your excuse doesn't wash with me, sir
Not with me, either. I don't have a job, been living alone for a couple of years, don't do anything and barricade myself to my apartment. All that, and I can't play Gold. Well I can, but I suck.

One time I saw a player on bronze use a missile launcher on an atlas.
I once saw someone use a missile on a Gold escort and missed... twice. I wish he'd gotten practice on Bronze.
the majority of bronze players get what 2 or 3 rockets a game and usually buy recruit and veteran packs, we know that these packs are much more cost efficient at getting consumables, 1 big boss enemy spawns in a wave no matter what on like waves 7,9,10, and extraction. there is no reason to not rocket banshees, atlas, praetorians, and primes on bronze. however it is not great to rocket all of them on anything higher than bronze. but thats not what you said.
btw if this was sarcasm/trolling i apologize

No, I was serious. I simply wish people got more practice on Bronze instead of jumping right into Silver/Gold.

I've got no problem with people playing Bronze. There isn't much frustration and I can remember when I could even complete six waves of bronze. Oh the days of the demo...

Depends on why they play bronze. Totally fine reasons:
-I'm just a casual player and enjoy bronze.
-I like to be super-powered in games.
-I'm just starting out.
-I'm leveling a character or trying out a new build.
Looked down upon reasons:
-OMFG game is too hard for everyone, all enemies cheat, BW sucks, everything needs a buff and enemies need to be nerfed!!!
Basically, I look down on people who think the reason they are in bronze is because of some external locus of control rather than their own characteristics or choices. To elaborate, I don't look down on people based on how good or bad they are at playing a video game, but I do look down on people who are whiny, entitled, brats.![]()

Im sorry though. I guess I will be the guy who says it...If youre an N7 2500 with maxed ultra rares and playing bronze exclusively then cmon! step up your game a lil and at least try silver. youll eventually get more comfortable. if youre just starting out, please play bronze. i did for a while and eventually went to silver and then gold. then you can try to solo bronze silver and gold as well once you become comfortable.

Whatever. People forget that there are 3 different types of gamers out there: Casuals, Noncore and Hardcore.
Casuals usually stick to Bronze. It's a "turn-off-your-brain-and-enjoy-it" mentality, and it's completely legitamite.
Noncore players (like me) find Bronze to middling and easy, but are not hardcore enough to say, post builds on forums, post every day on forums, post videos on youtube, etc. They've played games for a long time, but are just not exceptional at games, but they're better than average. For them, Silver is supposed to be the perfect difficulty level, with the occasional foray into Gold for exceptional challenges.
The hardcore speaks for itself. They're the ones who play Gold and Platinum almost exclusively. Hell, even with low-level characters they're jumping into Gold games because they're just that badass, and that's fine.
Unfortunately, because of the Hardcore's tendency to generally own forums, they end up thinking they own the game too, and have the last and only say when it comes to it.
I also think that if people didn't want Bronze players in higher level matches, BioWare needs to change the credit payout for the levels. As it stands now, beating one match in Bronze isn't even enough to buy a Veterans' pack at 20,000 credits. Forgive my language but that's bull**** for new players. To have to play 2 matches to get a Veterans' pack and six, SIX matches just for one Spectre pack is retarded. Maybe it would make sense if there wasn't a bajillion weapons and characters to unlock (and more coming on the way), but there are, and to force players with low-mid level skills to play in perpetuity for the chance to get a better weapon or an interesting new character is messed up. I know people who've been playing from the start who STILL haven't unlocked N7 characters. I mean, how does that make sense?
So of course Bronze players are going to jump into higher matches. For the credits.

Thats incredibly narrow minded, especially with previous posts completely debunking this theory of yours.

its not narrow minded there is not a single person that currently plays bronze that with work and effort and maybe a little help cannot become a decent gold playerFather Giliam wrote...

A lot of people, including myself, play Bronze because that's what we PREFER to play. I've played Silver and some Gold, and they just aren't the style of play that I prefer. Bronze offers a more relaxed game play. Being hyped and tense isn't what I'm looking for after coming in from a 10 hour day at work.
Let's flip the other side of the coin now. I've played many Bronze games where the other players aren't that experienced, or just not too great (even tho they may have a high rating). Generally I will lax off of my play style, so that they can get the extra kills and credits, or to help them out when they get in trouble. WHY is it that so often I see players come down to Bronze from Silver+ to clear the map and waves, and basically steal those potential kills and credits away from them ?? Wow, that's a real confidence builder for them !!

Like PvP players calling each other 'noob' even though they were all new once, and the people they're saying this to are of a similar level.
