Having an issue where I couldn't log on to multiplayer on the PS3 all day. I log on PSN as my one and only username, and the game tells me to activate my online pass (despite having over 500 hours played in multiplayer). I go to re-enter my online pass from my one, and only copy of the game bought new on release day, ,and get the message the message 'This service is currently undergoing maintenance'. What's going on?

The servers were shut down for maintenance making psn content unavailable. Online passes count as content so for the duration of the maintenance you cannot access all games requiring content from psn.
Edit: Also it was down for an hour or 2.
