Seeing that many people don't want a full prequeland a sequel is up in the air, many people seem to forget their 2 years in the MEU that is open for use that nearly can't be in conflict with the resulst of ME2 and 3.

Imagine a game set in those 2 years, but with different main character out side of Shepard, each with an origin style into.
A game you can play nearly any race.

A side story as you would say.
How does that sound?

EDIT:
On the origin consept, there would be differnent intros based on race and faction.

The factions would/could be Alliance, turian blackwatch, Stg, csec, cerberus, mercinary , the hanar dell compact, asari government, quarians(part of flotila and group not part of flotila) and space pirates part of Aria's cartel.

Certian factions take some races, some just one race, and one takes just citadel races.

I like it, although it would be tough to have any conflict of notable size as it would have surely been mentioned in ME2-3 or at least the codices.

Of course, perhaps it was a super secret conflict!

Prequeland sounds like a themepark doomed to failure.

That exactly.

Plus there's a number of books, comics, and even that Jacob video game in that period of time. I feel the big events in those two years are all ready spoken for.

Yes, we can have a big conflict....Or more of a secret one. Something  that is quickly covered up by the council so a panic will not happen.

Remeber , ME2 is about a conflict most of the galexy does not really know about.

Mass effect is a universe with many storys. BW can make a game in the same time periode of ME3 if they want. They can make it during the 2 year's Shepard is dead.

Speaking of, holy crap I hated that Liara comic. Ruined a perfectly good headcanon scene of Liara finding Shepard's body on that planet.

it would be good to see what joker garrus and Kaidan got up to that could be good if Bioware did it right

There does not have to be a huge conflict. A small scale story can be interesting as well.

I had an idea that would be about Jacob Taylor's time in the Corsairs. It would revolve around Hackett's illegitimate child. Kind of a Expendibles concept. A lot like ME2.

To further clarify.  Jacob would be a squadmate, and Hackett's kid would be about Shep's age.  The idea is to make EA happy with shooter style gameplay, but make fan happy with an expanded look at the universe outside Shepard's story.  It would get to the really dark parts of the Galaxy.  Only thing I don't have is a proper threat.  I was thinking Geth, and Collectors, but idk.

The first and probably last time we'll see a good set of posts from the OP. I'm savoring the moment.

True. But I'm still voting for a sequel. I think the story, the universe needs to move forward.
