Within the limits of what's actually plausible (for example, I wouldn't buy DA3 if it suddenly changed genre to RTS, but that isn't going to happen), I can't think of anything. I have enjoyed both DA games so far, I like the gameplay, the world and story, the writing and the characters... that's not to say I haven't had some issues with some aspects of the previous games (reused environments in DA2, shuffly combat in DAO) - but no deal breakers for a future purchase, that I can think of at the moment.Brohammed wrote...

Oh, I am sure there is something - however unlikely - that would be a deal breaker.
What ONE thing would cause you to not buy DA3?

"More similar to DA2 than to DA:O"

mainly the absence of origins and races.
but an intrusive multiplayer would be a good reason too.

I would do exactly what I did with Mass Effect 3. Wait until it drops to 20-25 euros and then buy it. It cannot be worse than Dragon Age 2, so I believe it will be worthy of buying.

The only real deal-breaker for me would be the incredibly jerktastic (not to mention narratively sloppy) act of relegating important plot information to DLC. (Here's looking at you, Leviathan, Javik, and Extended Cut.)

In DA2 i had no control on what Hawke said or any important choice in the game so i was basically a bystander.
Edit: There are more things but the above is the most important.

Oh come on, you had "no control" of your character in DA2? That statement is just silly.fchopin wrote...

Hawke had very little autodialogue in DA2. Certainly when compared to Shepard. And usually, you got to express a pretty wide range of opinions with Hawke.
Does this come back to the voiced protagonist thing? Because that's not going away, and we may as well just go with it.

I don't think the idea of controlling your character is silly, I think the suggestion that you weren't able to do this in DA2 is.fchopin wrote...

Needs full party customisation on par with Origins.
Needs the return of skills, especially non combat ones.
These are all important to me and I will consider not buying if they aren't there but the real deal breaker is combat, if they decide to outsource the combat to a bunch of hyper active 11 year old boys again then it's a huge no.
People moan about the shuffle in Origins but it was still in DA2, it was just set at x8 speed and I never had my rogue in Origins chase an enemy down by cartwheeling across the room like I did in DA2.
DA2's combat is bloody moronic, if it's not changed then I wont even bargain bin the game.

If i have no idea what my character is going to say that means that i have no control, also if i have no real choice when something important is going to happen that also means that i have no control.

It is not a voice thing it has to do with how the dialogue is used in the game.
I play the Witcher games and Mass Effect games without any problems.
Sorry if i am disturbing the thread but if people ask me questions i have to reply.

However, if DA3 includes an error of judgement as catastrophic as the ME3 ending, that would put me off buying DA4.
