- If I hear that DA3's ending is as bad or worse than ME3's, and brings no closure whatsoever to our character.

- All my choices reduced to numbers.

- Anime art style.

- Intrusive multiplayer.

- Absence of the RPG elements that makes DA what it is; in other words ME3's action mode.

That's all I can think about that would totally prevent me from buying the game.

If the forums had as much impact on the game as people seem to believe they will

Nothing realistic will stop me from buying it. However another blight will stop me from buying it before it drops down to 30 bucks.

The problem here is the majority of these reasons would be discovered after buying the game, even my own "if i see a recycled dungeon i'm done with bioware" grievance wouldn't work, the majority of these are relying on word of mouth after someone goes threw a presumible 40+ hour RPG

The majority of you aren't going to wait the 2 to 3 days for people to wrap up the game, you're going to day 1 buy it no matter what, so virtually every post in this topic is a fail and don't "wah wah i'm not going to buy it day one" you're on a bioware forum, no one believes that for a second

The complete lack of what I consider a happy ending. This can include ultimate sacrifice but it has to be well done ala DA:O and not that catastrophe of ME3

recycled environments again- and this is not a dealbreaker it just means I wait for the bargain bin.

If user reviews are as bad as ME3 and this syncs up with what I read on the forums and see on youtube. I play games to feel like an epic hero not an utter failure. If Bioware can't guarantee me this then I'll pass on DA3. Even Mario rescues the princess at the end.

Well, an ending like ME3 would be the obvious answer.

But another wold be multiplayer. I can guarantee if there's multiplayer I will, at the very least, wait unti the price has come down significantly.

I will not pay full price for a game I won't fully use.

-Not being able to pick the.......

You know screw it just make the game exactly like DA:O but with a new story, more content and slightly better graphics and i'm there....otherwise no.

So minus all the tantruming about other peoples ideas and opinions I can count that as a "recycled dungeon" for the next tally?

I am not going to 1 day buy the game, I dont mind recycled dungeons as long as they don't make it obvious, in DA:O it wasn't that obvious I mean, doors that where open in one dungeon and now closed in another its pretty damn obvious that its the same map just different doors are closed, and after the second playthough being able to go though a map by memory because its the same map, is pretty bad. in DA:O sure you can say the deep roads, but in all honesty can we say that, we didn't expect it to be the same most of the time??

My main issues will be is if the Orlesian accent is too much, if its too much then yea wont be getting the game for a long while.

Being forced to take a position other than that mages should be as free as any other citizen.

They allowed it in Dragon Age 2 and even in Origins/Awakening. If they take it away at this point, I'm out.

My biggest problem was the cookie cutter maps of DA2. That would turn me off, definately.

Not being able to play as a woman would make me not buy it. That's the one main dealbreaker

but there's a lot of little things that could add up to make me not get it, I'm really not a fan of many of the decisions they made in DA2, including voiced protag (or at the least voiced protag saying things I didn't pick because they wouldn't show me the full line), not being able to customize companion armor (that would be an insta-drop except they've already said they're bringing it back. It's kinda sad they needed to emphasize it considering it's pretty much standard in rpgs now, it's like bragging that your character will be able to walk), and the lack of choices and things to do compared to origins.

But so far the only one singular thing that would make me drop is losing the ability to play my own gender.

I have never ever preordered a game and I'm surely not going to start with DA3.

Obviously, if I could get it for free I wouldn't buy it.

Bioware gave DA2 buyers ME2 for free, and it's, like, the best Bioware game ever(bar Baldur's gate series).

Honestly, if DA3 is origins w/ slighly faster, DA2 combat and new, original story - mission accomplished.

the only thing that could ruin it is if they TRY and FAIL at some aspect, like trying opem-world RPGs, terrible retcons, etc.

its a new DA game... there will be many more, Im sure.  they will get the formula right eventually.
For now, enjoy the ride.

To not get me to buy DA3, you say? Not being able to choose genders and customize my character would be a big 'NO BUY' on my list.
