Why?

Engaging sidequests.

In depth conversations.

Intuitive journal.

Has a SP and MP experience that are completely serperate and stand well on their own.

No pointless characters.

Gunships aren't overpowerd. I mean, why would they be? Kasumi took one out and she's just a theif!

The romances were awesome and rewarding.

So many hub worlds. Bryson's lab...just amazing.

They didn't sexualize EDI, how silly would that of been?

Awesome free weapons for single player to match their multi player counter parts.

One of the few complete stories that came with the original disk. No DLC required to understand the plot.

It was awesome seeing my choices make an impact. Especially the Rachni. Just gripping.

No forced emotion. Every thing feels genuine and non contrived.

Jacob's character really improved. T'was nice to see him grow up a bit and become loyal and trustworthy.

As a matter of fact all of the Mass Effect 2 characters were done justice.

The only thing bad about the game? The combat. C'mon, move into the 21st century guys.

Who's with me?!

WIN... the Bioware drones and/or undercover developers are going to come in droves (I'm sure they have already) just to try to convince you of how great the game is or how stupid you are for not liking it.  These people have such low standards it's not even funny.

Guys, guys! I think you're spending too much time focusing on me and people you disagree with. Why can't we focus on the masterpiece that is ME3? We should be playing it right now, seeing as it has a boat load of replayability!

I need something to do while it loads.

I didn't read the other 8 pages, which I'm sure are full of contrarian views, but I'm glad you enjoyed the game.  I know I did.

Is this the most successful 'praise' thread of all time?

That was a great game of sarcastaball Hanar. Just great!

I second that emotion.  It was the best game ever since it had none of those things and allowed us to play it right up till the end.  I was on the edge of my seat with the adrenaline rush and I was scared and excited and then I woke up.

I agree with some of your criticisms, but not all.

The sidequests in ME2 were definitely better, but ME3 did have some good ones comparable to ME2 (Grissom Academy, Rachni mission etc...)

I actually thought the auto-dialogue wasn't too bad because it allowed Shepard to develop his/her own personality more. And each squad mate did have 4-5 full-length conversations, just like ME2.

The journal is horrible and needs to be fixed.

I rather like the joint Singleplayer and Multiplayer modes, especially after the EC where you no longer need it for all the endings (how it should have been all along).

Not sure what you're referring to here.

Lol.

The romances were okay...some were much better than others.

LOL yes, we definltey need another hub world. They add a lot to the atmosphere of the game and the ME universe.

EDI's design was pretty ridiculous but not entirely unexpected.

Meh. You don't have to buy them and there are already a ton of weapons in the SP campaign.

I think enough has been said about the ending already.

While somewhat disappointing due to the amount of hype by Bioware that our choices would make huge differences, if you really thought about it, it wasn't all that unexpected. They couldn't make several games in one to account for everything.

Meh.

I thought the ME2 characters were generally handled well. Some, not so much.

This game? Who would not enjoy a game like this? B) If they just improved the fighting, but then again if this was such an issue i would be playing Gears of War.

I think the next DLC will add interior lighting to the Normandy so you can actually see characters' faces.  And maybe it will remove the halo around Shepard's head when talking to Javik.  It looks like her hair is floating above her head.

Easily the best installment in the series. I think we should all vote for ME3 for game of the year. Hell, let's make it Game of the decade.. No, let's get rid of our chessboards and backgammon sets and just make it Game of the Millenium!

I want to live in the ME3 world. I want to live as Shepard. Because we all know that her story ended so smoothly and she had such great friends and lovers along the way that were all resolved so well in the end. I'd love to have a matrix of Mass Effect and have my mind put in it.

Hell, who wants to all help pitch in to create a metaprogram where we can all live in the Mass Effect galaxy? After all, it doesn't matter what ending Shepard chose, there's so many fun times ahead for everyone! =D

Hey and it's much safer too!  We don't have to worry about Harbinger killing us.  He'll just stare at us and then shoot us in the knee and then leave forever.
