And I say this as someone who would probably not be eligible for it as I didn't start playing the mp until August.

Stop focussing on the mention of N7 rank, that was very obviously not what they were saying should grant them a banner. There should have been some sort of back tracking for at least one or two banners that were awarded for people who have spent months playing. Maybe a long-service banner, or amount of matches played so far kind of thing.

I get your point, but if you read all the other posts, at one point he straight up told someone who claimed an N7 ranking of 300, that he had played more than they had. Based on no further information than the N7 ranking.
Also anyone who makes statements about Bioware should have retroactively given challenge awards miss the point of the new challenge system:
To breathe new life into the MP aspect and keep people playing their game 8 months after release, via appealling to the completionist inside us all.
Retroactively awarding challenges would steal their own thunder.

Great suggestion.....maybe a Vetran banner.......could be based on length played, hours maybe, damage to date etc.

Or like those who have banners he could work on a specific challenge and not expect something to be handed to him. The challenges are not hard and really dont take to much time seeing as some count towards others and many charaters have multiple powers going towards challenges.

Considering the effort to get some of the banners, no I don't think merely having been a player for months prior should count, it'd cheapen the banners since far too many people would have those.

I would rather pay 5$ than spend an hour (my
time=not free) to get a card I like.... Everyone is not “butthurt”...
just a few. Never used the word butthurt... used Arse hurt.
...a rock, really, insults are well... a little un-preductive dont you think?

I know, this is a b**** and Moan, but honestly I think many will feel the same way. I have been playing since the game as been released a normal amount for the period (375 + hours). My N7 rating is almost 2000, and hundreds of dollars (with he granted complaining of my wife).
What kinda erks me is this... seeing a N7 rank of 300 with a banner. I have played WAY more and invested hundreds of dollars getting the cards and fighting and nothing really to show for it (Banner wise)....
Give somthing to your Loyal vets that have been around and stuck with y, we deserved a snazy banner too .....*cries like a little girl*:?
I've no problem with your asking for a specific banner for your N7 level, hell, I like the idea. Give more incentive for promotion.
However, I'm one of those N7 300 with a banner. I've spent the time earning my Mathemagician, Marksman and Pistol Mastery banners and I feel that i've earned them by using specific weapons.

way.
I and a few hundred
others work at a job that keeps the company afloat and cranking along, during

all new employees and old, if you make 10 staplers we will give you new cloths

OP, that analogy you mentioned does not translate well to this fleeting form of entertainment. I hope by making this thread you have much released your tension. Now get back in game and earn the current crop of available banners like everyone else has.
Be thankful you were there since release to experience many more months of gameplay and experiences that newer players did not have. If a banner/achievement was ever made to define that, more power to Bioware. Thank you for your input. Till then, just enjoy the game.

I've played since release. I've bought the ME3 Collector's Edition. I've bought the ME3 Limited Edition Guide. I've bought every SP DLC there was at launch. You don't see me b****ing and moaning about being rewarded.
The reward is in the experience itself. Granted not everyone will think the same. Your request for some sort of reward is duly noted. But b****ing and moaning about it is not the most effective way to get your point across. You need not undermine every one else's points while trying to put yours across.
What you are doing, unbeknownst to yourself or not, is selective reading, and selective perception of people's replies. Did it not occur to you this thread would have been more civil if you started off in a different manner? Just something to think about. Everyone has their opinions. Suffice to say your starting post gives more reason for the average BSNer to perceive and react to it emotionally more in a negative fashion. Voicing it more appropriately, would perhaps be more effective.
What's done is done. My humble request is to put a little more thought into your future threads, if any.
