And by support,I don't mean a healer.By support I mean making your ally more effective at combat or your enemy less effective in combat[/b][b].Most people think healing is the primary support tree(for mages),but in my 1st DAO nigthmare playtrough(I'm playing in now) healing is not as nearly important as some other trees like the one that gives you heroic offence/defence or the entropy one who can make enemies weaker.
So personally I think supporting is one of the primary thing a party needs to do.Why is a four man party 12 times stronger than a 1 man party and not only 4 times stronger becouse everyone supports each other in a party,with good tactics your party can work togeather and just be epic,the power of 4 people alone is not nearly as strong as four people togeather with good tactics.
The 3 things I think when you make a support party member(s) you must have in mind are;
-Lots of great tactics to make your team always OP and you enemies always weak
-Creative support and self sustain spells:By this i mean that most people take a few healing spells and think that your party support is a good one,to make a support party member,takes creativity and an open mind
-Don't make only 1 support party member,sure 1 can be a primary one,but make everyone contribute in a way.In my DAO party Wynne/Morrigan supported with entropy and creation but also Leliana supported with bard songs and stunned whoever tried to attack other DPS party members,that's also supporting in some way,Alistar tanked,preventing the enemies from attacking other,I think this is also a way of supporting,becouse you keep your alies safe,making the more efficient.
The point of this thread is that in DA3 i want them keep making spells for all classes more supportive,spells that support teamwork,and not just simple ones like heal or frezze,I want more of creative supportive spells like Heroic aura or Misdirection hex...
