If the goal is to get ready for platinum, why not just get SPs/PSPs? Isn't a guaranteed rare better than a small chance for a rare? There aren't many uncommons that you need for platinum.

The goal is to get players ready for gold, that way they can farm that difficulty for SP/PSP's. You are thinking further ahead, i am thinking of prepping people for that point.

I alwas bought SP, PSP, and JEP so my rare weapons&gears are almost maxed out, but uncommon and common are mostly at I or II...
And now it's kind of hurting me because of the weapon challenges.

Personally I was buying recruits until I maxed my avenger, then I moved onto Vet packs until I maxed a batch of that stuff, now I am finally buying nothing but SP's. I have never seen the point to PSP's. With a constant supply of SP's I can keep my consumable supply high while also unlicking everything I need.

Either do this or downgrade a lot of rare equipment to uncommons. The current system is too daunting to new players.
