Well, props to the MP team for developing those models in a free DLC. SP...not so much.

It shows which Bioware team is better at the moment

We already knew the multiplayer team was better

Yea all Bioware needs to say now is "Omega will not be a main hub" and I'm definitely passing on this.

They don't need to be in SP they just need a quick explanation for their existance in MP. They did that for the geth when after Rannoch the asari councilor mentions that their are still a few isolated geth pockets with reaper code.

Asari councilor? I definitely don't remember that, when was that? You got a youtube link or something?

Just out of curiosity really.

Why is it so essential for some people to just HAVE to fight Collectors again in ME3 as Shepard? It seems really trivial. Do you think Shepard will really care seeing some Collector's here and there? He's at the point where he's seen most huskified versions of different races, i don't think he'd give a s*** if he saw a Collector bopping around.

Its not just about having Shepard fight the collectors but to have something new and fresh for single player expansians...idk about you but I love my dlcs to feel exiting and new not just rehashing the same enemy layouts over and over again

Better than than just another MP map fighting Cerberus goons

There is nothing either new or fresh about Collectors, they are so ME 2, and over.

Even in ME2 we barely fought the Collectors. It was mostly mercs and mechs.

Hmmm...

-No Collectors

-No Harbinger then?

-Omega (an iniquitous haven for criminality)

-More expensive than previous DLCs

-More banality with Cerberus

Where are the incentives?

It is right after you finish the Rannoch arc and you are talking to her via comm room on the normandy (she is asking you to come to the citadel to meet her).  She mentions that there are still some isolated geth with reaper code.

Just like in this game you mostly fight Cerberus, which is retarded.

Bioware made them to be the only evil characters in this franchise. "Oh the Reapers are pawns of an intelligence trying to do good"

Why not bring the Collectors back I say. I'm not going to get super butthurt if they don't, but I always believed that there were more of them out there. They're a semi-autonomous group, kinda like Cerberus in ME3, though to a much larger extent. They are directly controlled by the Reapers, but they aren't the completely mindless, attack everything on site husks that are the Reapers main tools. Have them be different, and less of them. Have them be used as the Reapers SF group or something. There doesn't have to be a lot of them. Just a single cruiser or something.

All it can do is add another narrative to the story. Keeping them out doesn't take anything away from the story (unlike the forced evil of Cerberus, a group who I believe had the right idea until they got derped, or the lack of ME2 characters, or the forced alliance crap {I know how some of you feel about being forced into Cerberus in ME2. I feel that I was forced back into the alliance in ME3}, or killing off characters via twitter and email.) Adding them to the story adds more insight to the story and universe (though I wouldn't put it past BW to screw it up somehow.)

"The short answer is no".

...but of course, the long answer is that Bioware has rebuilt and recreated the Collector faction and already implemented them in ME3's multiplayer, so t would only make financial sense for them to turn up in single player as well...

Don't forget the best one yet:

- Absolutely no change over the outcome of the final mission. Woohoo! 600 War Assets that never appear, and change absolutely nothing about the ending.

Even if you support the ending, it's still just dumb to not add anything to the final mission with the extra war assets. No cinematics, no nothing.

You lose incentive to play DLC, because the War Assets don't have any further impact on anything.

This is what I find so bizarre. If they're going to go through all the time and effort to make new assets, it makes sense to use them. Not necessarily in Omega, but at least at some point.

All aboard the CRY train! WOOWOO.

Why would the collectors show up in this DLC? Just because the Mass Relay that lead to their main base is nearby? NEWS FLASH: You fragged the Collectors on that base. What possible reason would thier first appearance in the SP have to be tied to Omega other than it would tie into ME2 on a small scale.

All they've said right now is that they have no plans at the moment to use the Collectors in SP. Another NEWS Flash: This is pretty standard company speak from EVERYONE in every buisness. Even if they're working on Collector SP DLC they're not going to annouce anything at all until they're ready.

Bioware has been burned before by their fans taking their talk of possiblities as straight fact this will be in the game. (I am not at all talking about anything they have stated as FACT that was not in the game so do not even think about bringing up any of the prerelease statements of ME3 as a counter to my arguement as I am not at all talking about those statements)

Getting back onto why the Collectors don't fit into the Omega DLC. The Invasion comic and the comments in ME3 clearly show that this was going to be a Shepard vs Cerberus conflict so to even expect the Collectors or even Reapers to make an appearance is a pretty far stretch.

Once BW is done releasing DLC for ME3 then you can cry and moan about them wasting a perfectly good chance to introduce the Collectors into SP.

Lame. I assume that means we're not going back through the Omega 4 relay. Story potential and adventure wasted.

There is still the possibility of you going through the Omega 4 Relay as per the Invasion comic Cerberus has a base on the otherside.

You just wont be going through it for the Collectors as you know, they're all dead on that side of the Relay anyway. So GG on crying about nothing.
