I swear complaints with mass effect 3 get dumber by the minute. Unless you can think of a actually reason the collectors were on omega then I don't understand the complains. Also how the **** would this be a hub world, dlc mostly assumes you are doing them right before the final missions, not right when you start.
Also I hear this as a good thing, them saying the collectors won't be in dlc means THEY HAVE THEIR DLC FULLY PLANNED OUT! That means the ending stuff won't be delayed to far in advance
Well, Omega is right next to the Collector's doorstep and we know TIM now is in control of Omega and, though we destroyed it I am willing to bet we find out that Cerberus was able to recover parts of their base, tech, and even maybe some Collector corpses to experiment on in the hopes of finding a way to control the Reapers. This could be a reason the Collectors/Reapers might attack Cerberus on Omega to stop them from utilizing the tech. And Shep would be right in the middle of the chaos since he would just be there initially to take out Cerberus or Aria. That's just one way they could do it that would make sense, and give the Collectors a purpose for being in SP and also tie it into the war effort as well.I mean we know TIM was screwing around with Collector tech anyway as we find out from Jacob's girlfriend on his mission that TIM ordered them to research how the Reapers established a link with the Collector's that allowed for the degree of control Harbinger had over them. Then those Ceberus scientists defected when they found out why they were doing the research.

Wait....this is from Walters? Of course it's gonna be on a blog. This I the guy who killed many fan favorite characters on twitter.
This is idiotic.
First of all, by "many," you mean "one."?
Secondly, by "fan favorite" you mean "minor character who would be very low on the list of characters requested to return in ME 3"?
Thirdly, what makes you think Walters had anything to do with that?

The long answer is nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
As all the money they could have made blows slowly away in the wind. Seriously, who is gonna pay fifteen buck for 4-6 hours of doing nothing but fighting wave after wave of cerberus troops with Aria and a femal turian? The only way that would be worth it is if both Aria and the she-Turian became permanent squadmembers which wont happen so hopefully my fifteen bucks wont be wasted if I decide to buy this

In fact, the fluff material for Omega includes Petrovsky using Reaper Adjutants as a form of biological warfare...

killing off whats her name was kindof a big deal. i mean bioware made a big deal out of killing one random NPC from ME1. wasnt it like a couple weeks before the game released too?
i think if they killed her on twitter, because she was importnat enough to die on twitter.
lol, "die on twitter"
what a ****ing bunch of BS this game has turned out to be.

How is it good news when its common sense that every Collector wasn't on the base
Why? last i checked they only had one cruiser and their base was either destroyed or they were eliminated via a Radiation pulse.

In ME2.
In ME3 I think discussion with James confirms there was other collector ships, not sure though.
And then the multiplayer got them so they're canon now.
I'd prefer if they just all died in ME2.

But they were not destroyed.
This is BioWare's game, it's their story. If they showed them in multiplayer that means they officially exist, regardless of our speculations and bickering whether we destroyed one or one hundred of their cruisers and bases.
What happens in multiplayer is also part of the official lore, therefore they exist.

You're looking for the word "Retcon".

Multiplayer contradicts lore and logic at many points.

LOL no.
One base and one ship does not equal genocide of an entire spacefaring race.
Especially when that race is essentially nothing more than clones.
It seems to me that the only thing Bioware would be retconningby bringing the Collectors back in future single player DLC is your own, personal headcanon.

Well, whatever, there might be hope for them in the future.
I doubt this will be the last ME3 DLC, so "better luck next time"...
Actually it's probably better this way, at least there are no false hopes up...dreamgazer wrote...
Instead of providing actual details of what's to be seen in Omega, they're letting denials slip out first. Keep on bungling the PR, guys.
Probably should've released the trailer before letting that little nugget slip out.
If they had waited till the trailer to deny the Collectors there would have been people hyping at the thought they might be in the DLC, imagine the outcry afterwards...
Actually, as of vanilla ME3 James pretty much confirms there was more than one collector cruiser (at least two), besides flavour descriptions by the devs for the new enemy says several Collector Cruisers (Black Arcs) emerged from dark space with the reapers (since they are less advanced it took them slightly longer to arrive)...Fixers0 wrote...

So whether or not there were still live Collectors IN the galaxy is a moot point...

Collectors were brought back only to make Multiplayer more interesting and make you spend more money in the micro transactions. I had a hope that multiplayer had a somewhat cannon relation to the SP but as it seems the SP is dead. Mac walters is behaving like a kid who doesn't admit his mistake.
Well it's sad. It's always sad to see this series die like this.

I'm curious though. Has it ever been officially confirmed that what happens in multiplayer is part of the official lore? If so if feel kind of stupid adding the Collectors to the MP if they have no intention of using them in the SP.
Personally I've always seen the MP part of the game as some kind of spin-off with no connection to the lore/story.
