I have played through ME2, and have savegame files in the appropriate "My Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect 2/Save" folder
However, ME3 is not giving me an option to import my ME2 character. I go to import ME2 character, and nothing shows up to import. I have copied the save files into the ME3 folder experimentally, but no help.
Any idea what the problem is and how to resolve it?

have you opened the configure file in the ME3 main page? I think its in the extras. Alternatively, search for "ME2 upload" in this forum, it probably has been addressed at some point. =D

It has been addressed in these forums, but I have yet to find a solution that works.
My savegame is after the suicide mission. It is in the correct folder. I will look into the configure file since I have no idea what you're talking about.

easiest way around this is to add ME2 to origin, cloud storage save the game. also, you have to make sure ME2 is actualyl installed, if you have the files but the game isnt installed, it wont read the save files. i recently got a new PC and had all my ME2 saved to cloud but didnt have the game installed, it wouldnt let me access the game saves until i actualyl installed ME2
