Can't judge as, you know, I haven't played it yet.

It's a little disappointing to hear it though, and I'm not looking forward to the DLC as much as I was. They'll return for headcanon.

The question has a secondary meaning. People want to see collectors again?

It's going to be filled with no:s, I just know it. Then Bioware will look at it and think "oh, they accept anything we make, no need to put collectors in single player."

Because it seems like a lot accept anything. Omega DLC can still redeem itself if it has people from ME2 omega as characters and so on. But if it's just some stupid "assault Omega with two pre-defined squadmated (Aria and the turian) and fight Cerberus for hours, then it will only show how Bioware ignores what the community wants.

So yes, it's a huge fail especially since they say "we'll post some lore on the blog to make it right" thinking people will just be happy with that. They seem out of touch with reality at this point.

Its actually quite even, I figured it would just blow up with yes's because no one care about game lore..... collectors are dead period... Javik doesn't need nightmares

Of course, I really liked the concept of them in ME2, even if the execution could have been better.

How, none of you expected it and it doesn't make any since for them to be there anyway. Who says future dlc won't have them, but it makes no since in omega.

You clearly care less since you prefer head canon over the lore. Collectors are back and Bioware even said they'll put something about it at the blog. They're alive yet they're not in the game. You can pretend they're dead, but it's still not true.

They served their purpose; They existed in the center of the galaxy; Their base of Operations was destroyed.... The Reapers have no need for them now.

What logical explanation could validate their use at this point?

People are mad because they are tired of shooting husks and Cerberus guys which is a valid excuse but I would rather see Bioware come up with new enemies instead of resurrecting dead ones.

Profitable character necromancy.

It could work.

No. It is a curious decision, given the work they put into dropping the enemies into MP.

Now, if Omega ends up being nothing more than Cerberus whack-a-mole, then we'll have issues.

It's good they don't reuse them in SP. I spent a whole game fighting collectors. I damn sure hope that they have something more creative in mind than copy-pasting enemies from previous game.

Sorry, not sure what you mean? Not much necromancy needed since Collectors are pretty much just clones.

Yeah they do, they copy-paste enemies in the current game. Because clearly adding a few new Cerberus enemies makes them more interesting to fight.

And really, ME3 collectors are very different to fight from the ME2 ones.

I didn't really want collectors in omega. I'd prefer they got their own DLC.

@People complaining about collectors being 'alive': they've been alive. Check the codex for miracle on palaven.

I am okay without them in Omega DLC. I think that having them in Multiplayer is a retcon, though.

Well the people who "want them to have their own DLC", by voting no you are basically saying you don't want them in ME3 single player at all.

I was hoping they would since it makes sense to share resources (the pizza/escort missions made it to SP after all). Plus it'd make a change to fight something besides Reaper, Cerberus or Geth (we spent ME1 fighting them in the key missions). More variety is always good.

And look at the wording; 'short-term, no'. Like say a month? That'd be pretty short-term. Plus it might be a spoiler to a big reveal in Omega. Not gonna spoil that, is he?

Fail is asking for them to be there along with Cerberus, since Cerberus aren't really bad guys, right???

To be honest man, Cerberus is way more interesting to fight than collectors. They are all the same, they fly just for show and once in a while one gets turned into a macho doing stupid taunts. No thanks.

But what I actually want is some reaaally new enemy types. That excludes both Cerberus AND Collectors.
