I would really like the new hairstyles to include Fenris' and default Hawkes (both genders).

^I really hate when they create a "look" for the default PC and block aspects of it (the hairstyle, the DA2 blood smear, ME3 fem!Shep's facial texture) from being used on a customizable PC.  I play on console and don't have the ability to mod, but we shouldn't even have to tweak the game to get these options - they're already IN the game!

u know, i've been wondering about that as well. it seems like a feature carried over from the mass effect series, where we are not allowed to modify the default male shepard look. its understandable in that case since default shepard is actually based of a dutch model's face (and also being higher res than the custom faces). here in dragon age 2, that just seems arbitrary.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of preventing us from modding the default look. Though with Hawke, while the hair and smear could have easily been an option for custom characters, the beard was another story. They really jutted out Hawke's jaw and gave him the underbite of the centry so his beard could stand out more.

Slightly off topic but I've noticed that with the beards as well. If you look at them from the right (wrong?) angle you can see there is a empty space between it and the face. I am hoping with the new engine comes a new CC that will fix beards and also allow you to still adjust the jaw and chin when you select one.

That's because beards aren't just facial hair in the DA universe they are some kind of Fade beast that lives on men's faces.

I also enjoyed the pixie cut and low pony tail in DA2 - I used them the most for my characters. I thought they didn't only look good, but were battle ready too; well...except for the pony tail because of the bangs. My mages wore that style since they weren't in the thick of the fighting. It's funny, I'm one of those people who does not think it's pragmatic for a woman to go into a fight with long hair in her face, but as soon as I see a one of tho gorgeous long hairstyle in a CC I pick it for my character nine times out of ten. I can't help that I'm such a girl...

The bolded part, I agree. The hair my Warden has is utterly impractical right now and there's simply no way she could look like that after a battle or heck, after waking up on the ground in camp. My favorite DA2 hair is actually the default female Hawke or the the bob that was also in DA:O. But I figure that if my PC doesn't have a problem with eyeliner and lipstick, then she can sure as heck have fantastic hair all the time.

I'm not alone :crying:!!
Here I thought it was shallow that my Warden had fabulous hair disregarding that she is a warrior/rogue in battle and long hair and bangs are going to be in the way
At least Hawke/Warden will have fabulous hair when they kill :P

Clearly, Isabela and my Hawke need to take a trip to the clinic to get checked out.

I really want Morrigan's hairstyle for my FemInquisitor. She and Athenril can have a newer, better hairstyle, but I wants that one!

I spend 1-4 hours on MY hair in real life. I expect the female portrayals of me to also spend at LEAST 15 minutes making their bangs look nice.

Bioware games have always had really bad female character designs imo.
ncSoft games have always had really good female character designs imo.

Male designs never matter. Guys don't care about how they look in RL, I doubt they care how they look in game

Funny, considering most of my guy friends spend more time and money on their hair in 1 month than I do in 3 months.

Aren't stereotypical generalizations fun? <_<

I just want something simple, preferably more "tied-back" or short styles. No anime hair (the modding community will take care of that) and BLACK HAIR (not that weird brownish black that DA seems to go for, where my hair color, which is more definetely not black, is the darkest you can get)

Any Hawke that slept with Isabela should get checked out.
That's why I always waited until AFTER she visited Anders at his clinic to go trigger the sex scene :D
