Increased to fix the bugs for those who wanted to complete more than once. Also makes it more of a "challege" ... of patience and dedication.

The Widow is officially very cool now. Krysae works great too.

Kishock was fun even before the buff, and I can imagine now. Trying out the Javeling at the moment, looking forward to it!

Great! I haven't finished one single PUG gold lately, when my ratio pre patch/DLC was 8 to 2 or something like that.

I know the game difficulty seems to have increased, but I am getting use to it and kinda like it. Prior to the patch and the enemy additions, I would frequently take in Level 1 characters to matches, do fairly well and get a lot of XP. Overall, I am starting to enjoy the additional challenge of the game.

Krysae was my favorite weapon before being nerfed to all hell...gotta say, after using it last night, the buff this week was one big step in the right direction. Any chance for one more small buff? Pleaseeeeeeee

Please just nerf the new Geth, the Bombers are a major pain in the ass, and if they dont get you with their many, many grenades, the others will when you get flushed out of cover.

The Dragoons need a movement speed nerf, seriously how do they walk that fast? the attacks arent so bad, easily predictable since theyre basically Ex-Cerb Pheonixes, but that movement speed needs cutting really badly.

So.. you more than triple the amount of melee kills it requires to get a gold medal.. then we have to get a gold medal for this weekend's objective.. wtf? Guess I'm soloing bronze for it T_T

Nah, really the only thing that needs any kind of nerf is the Praetorian move speed.  That thing is crazy fast.

There is a difference between challenge and just grinding away endlessly at something...1 million melee points, 450,000 abomination points 2 examples right there. 50 melee for gold in a game....:bandit:

Seems to me that they've found the sweet spot of "good but not broken".  The gun really does not need another buff.

Indeed.  These two events are obviously connected, and people trying to do it on anything other than Bronze solo are likely going to get frustarted very quickly.  50 melee kills is A LOT.

I recently promoted my solider class. Couldn't remember where I'd put all the points on my batarian, but then I remembered - I'd posted my build a few weeks ago!

Found it, after a bit of creative googling, and the exact post went like this...

Blade Armor V

(Weapon Dam 25%, Power Dam 22.5%, Spare Ammo 25%, Weight Cap 15%)

Fitness VI

This gives him 1238 Health, 1238 Shields.


Copied the build to the tee... and he's more powerful!

Ballistic Blades hit 1540. Now it's hitting 1732.50 with the exact same growth tree. I can't even work out a way to make it add up to 1540.

Likewise, the damage returned for Blade Armor is now 250%, where I wrote down 150%.

This was all written down since the last batarian balance changes - so did I just transcribe it really badly? It looks like I must've put rank 6 into Melee Synergy and written down Fitness Expert by accident, but that would've given me a 60% bonus rather than 65% - and 1238 is indeed 165% of 750.

Either the batarian's been quietly improved, or I wrote down the original build incorrectly, or I am rubbish at scanning the balance changes. Or maybe it's something really simple that's changing the figures, like I've got a gear on! I haven't, I've got an assault rifle and grenade capacity thing at the mo, but something like that.

For me 15 melee kills wasn't bad. Only certain classes hit that easily. Now with some classes it's next to impossible to get th gold. 50 just seems excessive and requires you to really focus on just doing melee which kinda breaks it for me.

I think it should have been increased but only bumped up to 25 for a gold.

Even better! Add a platinum challenge if you really want to go to 50.

Not to be a total newb but I knew about the stupid unlimited missle bug but have never noticed a shockwave one :?.  Whats that about?

I would love to see a decrease in the number of drones for the geth or kill half their health. There is no balance with the current added mobs and you get so many spawning simultaneous it becomes overwhelming. I just started playing this game and liked it before the DLC, after the DLC I have to admit I am about to walk away from it because there was absolutely no thought into what these mobs were going to do to game play.

I am very happy with the melee medal change.
The low numbers required on melee medals is something that's been irking me for a long time. When I play a melee character I kill just about everything with melee, just like I kill just about everything with biotics when I play a biotic character. I didn't like that the medals for biotic kills and the ones for melee kills were so unbalanced. Getting the gold melee medal by wave 2 seemed a tad ridiculous for me. Now I have to work for it, like I have to work for every other gold medal, and it's far more satisfactory to get the medal popup that says 50 melee kills than it was getting the one that said 15.

This.  Ha, I didn't know about these changes, revisited the acolyte by chance, and was amazed that I'm actually able to fire it now.

As happy as I am to now be able to fire the acolyte, shame they made the change solely to address a "missile glitch" code problem.

The souped up Sniper Rifles are nice.  I had stopped using one shot sniper rifles (in favor of the indra) because the one-shot punch just wasn't strong enough to justify the low rate of fire.

No, you're correct.  The Batarian max damage return from armor was 150% when I played the batarian regularly months ago.
