I think it's understandable.
Some of the medal challenges are already difficult, and this update just made it even more difficult due to the challenge it poses.
For instance, combat challenge you needed 9 out of 12 to get War of Dog banner, now you need all 12. That alone almost doubles the required effort. One could've finished combat challenge by doing all of head shots, and all of grenades (which are easy to complete), then do first two tier of melee, and the last tier of grabs, which are VERY time consuming to do so.
Now you need 1,750,000 points in melee and 400 grabs. This is a LOT of effort for those who wants to finish challenges quickly.
Also, You said that you've only been around for a week. So therefore you've not played this before the big DLC last week. This DLC added new enemies, which are, at the moment, horribly unbalanced to do how often they spawn, ESPECIALLY the Dragoons. The number of dragoons should've been reduced, as well as the bombers.
So yeah, the "whining" is quite founded and understandable.

Simply stupid, unless they change the way they spawn.
Disappointed, got the Reapers Mastery a few minutes before the changes appeared, but they were already live cause the Trophy( and banner) were first given and then removed to me.

This is my one and only real complaint. I have no problem in general with them bumping up the faction masteries to the full 18. I was only 20,000 brute points away from completing it, but no bid deal. The problem is that killing husks gives very little in the way of points. God forbid someone else gets a shot in on one before you drop them. I have everything in the Reaper faction maxed out with the exception of Ravagers, and that's well on it's way to being completed. Still, I need almost 285,000 more husk points to max that out. That's simply taking grinding to a whole new level. Bioware, I'm not going to whine about this. I'm simply asking you to take into account your own setup and think rationally about this. Please, either lower the point requirement for husks or raise the points you get for killing them...I'm guessing the first option would be the easiest and would throw off the rest of the setup the least. Maybe make the husk requirement 50k, 100k, and 200k. No other faction has an enemy that would require this extreme level of grinding.

Yep. It's a HUGE nerf for vanguards, who would run arond with the alcolyte charged before activating biotic charge. That way, the alcolyte would shoot at the same time as your charge and prime tech bursts. I'm glad I already got my Lone Wolf banner...it would be more time consuming post-nerf.

Not really interested about completing challenges unless completing them provides a lot of credits or free PSPs. Banners are just for show.
