Yup, another topic by me :wizard:

Build A:

Adrenaline Rush 4: Hardened
Concussive Shot 4: Blast
Disruptor Ammo 4: Squad
Incendiary Ammo 4: Squad
Combat Mastery 4: Commando
Slam 1

Build B:

Adrenaline Rush 4: Hardened
Concussive Shot 1
Disruptor Ammo 4: Squad
Incendiary Ammo 4: Squad
Combat Mastery 4: Commando
Neural Shock 4: Neural Shockwave / Energy Drain 4: Area Drain

Both look funky, and I personally get the feeling that Build B is the better overall. I've read somewhere that Slam is hilarious during the boss fight with the Shadow Broker. I take it you can keep throwing that guy around rendering him useless? If so, I'll respec to Build A for that mission:lol:

On squad I think I'll roam around with miranda and jacob or mordin until I can get my hands on samara and thane for bio 'splosions :)

What weapon(s) do you plan on using? Hardened Adrenaline Rush is generally considered the better option for assault rifles, pistols, Scimitar, and Viper, while Heightened Adrenaline Rush is unquestionably better for every other weapon. The weapon you plan to choose on the Collector Ship should determine which Adrenaline Rush evolution you will use.

I agree on build A that if you put 4 points into Concussive Shot, you evolve it to Blast, Heavy Concussive Shot is not worth it.

Planning to run the Mattock/Widow style, sometimes using a shotty on Krogan who get too close.

Can anyone confirm it's possible to throw the shadow broker around with slam? Or is it just outside where the enemies are thrown off the ship?

I gotta say, I really like playing rambo again, gives me some time off of dealing with all kinds of tech/biotic builds and just storm in, turn A. Rush on and kill everyone I see within two seconds :D

Just the enemies outside the ship. Shadow Broker is protected by shields and armor. Slam should be able to stagger him though.

You need to run Inferno Ammo on the Soldier, not Squad Incendiary. Incendiary is basically the opposite of Cryo; the 'heavy' duration is very good and the 'squad' version is mediocre.

Concussive Shot on Shepard is not worth wasting a cooldown on most of the time. Instead it makes sense to put those points into the bonus power or a third ammo power. For instance, one of the better bonus powers might be Flashbang, so you could essentially completely replace Concussive Shot with Flashbang.

Neural Shock is a good 1 pt wonder power, so it is ok for a Soldier. But Soldier gets the best mileage out of using Adrenaline Rush and weapons whenever it is available. Same is true of Slam.

If you want to get into a mixed class, then a Reave Soldier with Area Reave and limited / situational or no Adrenaline Rush use works out pretty well.

Never managed to throw mooks off the ship with Slam. Expect it can be done but a lot easier with other powers.

Basically it happens if the lift portion of Slam gets them high enough off the ship.

What's a good build for NG+ Insanity using the Claymore?

I didn't feel like making a new thread for this since there's already one on the first page, and I figured I should get around to doing Insanity for PC ME2. I have a level 30 Soldier and a 30 Vanguard and read that Soldier is easier.

Yeah Soldier is probably a little easier NG+ with no upgrades.

In any event, in theory Heightened AR would do the most damage with the Claymore, but I tend to prefer Hardened for the damage protection, and because it works well with the other more rapid fire weapons you will be carrying like the Viper, Vindicator or Mattock, etc.

Go Inferno Ammo on Incendiary, then either get Squad Disruptor or Squad Cryo (or both).

Bonus power is highly debateable since most of the time it just takes away from Adrenaline Rush use.  I would probably just go Flashbang leveled to Improved, and mostly use it to either open an engagement with a group of enemies, and use it on Harbinger.

Shock Trooper vs Commando is up to you.  I might go Shock Trooper early game NG+ for a little more durability.  Although Commando is overall the better choice for a Claymore build, IMO (weapon damage and storm speed).

Stasis is always my favourite bonus power, though flashbang is fine too.

So far, it's been going good. There have been some annoying deaths, but I remember having a worse time with this as a fresh Infiltrator.

I've gotten to Horizon and noticed that my Improved Flashbang doesn't seem to affect Harbinger even when I land it at his feet. I brought Zaeed (for Inferno Blast Grenade) and Grunt (for knocking down barriers with Concussive Blast) but I'm considering swapping out Zaeed for Kasumi. Her grenade has a longer cooldown but it's instant hit and might work better.

Hmmm, it should work at least some time.  There is an issue with flashbang not working correctly on uneven surfaces.  Kasumi's should work without issue though.

I guess it's because he is an elite enemy, because the flashbang only stops Harbinger momentarily.

Redoing it with Kasumi was a good idea anyway so I could throw 2 flashbangs, and shadow strike is a great way to draw enemies away if I can keep her alive. The Praetorian fight took most of my medigels and poor Grunt kept being killed by the shockwave attack.

Although he isn't immobilized, it should be preventing him from attacking you with his version of Warp for approximately 55 seconds or so, which is dramatically longer than it overheats basic enemies' weapons.

He will still follow you around since he never gets knocked to the ground or immobilized.

I would have to go back to ME2 and review if there was a difference between Shep and Kasumi's FB on him though.  I didn't remember there being one except that it was much easier to hit him with Kasumi's.

Does Flashbang affect Tela Vasir?

I'm having some trouble with the fight on Insanity. She charges often enough that by the time the throwing animation is done she's in a new spot and I didn't bring Kasumi...

e: Nevermind, I just remembered that Stasis works on anything in ME2.

Posted Image Stasis is the solution to all problems.

Tela Vasir fight is pretty awesome, as is the Shadow Broker.

I miss rolling when I go back to ME2 now though.

For enemies you encounter more than once, it works on all save Harbinger and Praetorians.

It does work on Vasir, and is the easiest way to beat her.  The first time I played LOTSB I had to beat it the hard way bc I didn't realize that and wasn't ordering Liara to use it on her.

Me too. I never realised you could use it on her.

Of course, the most fun fighting Vasir is as a VanguardPosted Image
