Maybe its a sign that BW is implementing the much asked for "Husk Apocalypse" mode...

Seriously, it will almost certainly get tweaked. Several challenges, like melee damage in combat mastery, really need some adjusting. Most of these challenges were clearly meant to require a LOT of time to complete, as in months and months, even with overlap between challenges.

And even that only makes a small dent in the astronomical points count expected.

I agree. Maybe like... 100k points for Husks? Guardian value could be lowered a bit as well, they're pretty rare now with the addition of Dragoons.

Indeed. Cerberus must have melted down their shields to use in the Dragoon's armor. Poor guys probably have to schlep into battle with regular trooper armor now. Sad times.

I'd rather try to do 400000 points of damage with Shield Boost, than grind for that many husks.

Edit: Now only for Reapers.
Also noted: it seems guardians are now harder to find since the addition of dragoons I propose the guardians get less points aswell OR their numbers are increased and the dragoons are decreased.


Seriously? Damn it. I was at 75% completion I just had to get a few more level 3 kills and I would have had it. <_<

Seriously though, I've never really been upset at any of the changes Bioware's really made, but this, after grinding what little time I have to play at the challenges really put me off. Along with the changes to the Acolyte, which now that everyone will use it, will be up for the nerf-hammer.

This change was made to fix a bug that was worse. We also cannot lower the value of a challenge because it would cause the same bug. It's unfortunate but this was a requirement to avoid a worse issue. We were aware when doing it however that husks would be a problem and have been discussing our plans for that. When we have something solid we'll let you know.

I thought that'd be the problem with lowering the points. People currently over the completion value for a challenge would be unable to complete it. Nice to hear that you were aware of what the changes would do though.

Also nomercy what they SAY and what they DO typically are the opposite of each other.

First it was farming was bad, then now it's camping, but they designed classes which are supposed to camp, albeit temporarily, and then designed units to flush them out, thus negating their design (ever seen a demo run out of 10 grenades due to being unable to acutally stay at the pylon long enough to get refilled/use the shield/weapon evolution?).
