At first when i saw what was added i was like: "Why didn't the reapers get a new unit-oh, collectors" But then i realised: Cerberus recieved derp-brained cowboys, the geth recieved a fun sized, on-demand carpet-bombing, and the collectors still have praetorians,

Seriously, cerberus? I never thought you could fail THIS badly.

My only issue with the Bombers is the fact that they have nearly as much shields and armor as Pyro.

Op is full of win. I hate these new units. I like that we got a whole new race though (collectors)

Dragoons have been taking up a lot of the wave budget for me. It's kind of annoying, because I can throw an incendiary grenade and watch 3 of them melt, only to be almost immediately replaced by 2 or 3 more. Funny, though. I feel like a Matador as I dodged them while they burn away.

Hate them both. Dragoons for obvious reasons, while Geth Bombers just take way too much damage to go down given their size.

Dragoons are fine with me, it would seem less Phantoms has been offset by them and they are fairly easy to deal with, one has to be careful....I have noted on gold Dragoon's tend to have a Phantom(s) with them.

Those GD bombers are a PITA, my god they can be hard to hit, they either stay still or they are all over the place, I try to stick close to someone with a power that can deal with them but I am staying away from Geth gold for the time being, the others I can handle/get through.

I understand that they want to show off their new units, but damn it, be a little conservative with them. If they weren't so Numerous and annoying, I'd probably like them. Bombers are a good concept, a small enemy that is anti-camping, so you have to keep a good eye out. however, they're more difficult to take down than Pyros. Hell, Drop the grenades to 2 or 3, lower their health. They'd be fine then.

As for the Dragoons, I hate them. Again, concept is fine. However, in practice it's complete bull****. Extraction/Uploads are insanely difficult on Cerberus now, particularly on the later waves, where you'll be swamped by dragoons and their stunwhips, opening the way for a couple of phantoms to sync-kill everyone. Tone down the whip spam, make them take cover, Lower the amount of them at once. I'm sick of killing three with a BE or TB, only to have 4 more sprint around the corner and violate my team.

lots of people say 'oh it adds challenge'. Im fine with challenge, im not fine with cheap. Dragoons bum rush you in groups at a ridiculous speed and are spammed to crap. The bombers are a bit too tough for what they are and that little 'zap' they do should be taken out completely. Im fine with the whole rush you out of cover with grenades, but for them to imediately stun zap you after? Cheap.

I do like them, they bring the required challenge wo the factions without broken cheese like frozen geth shooting you 3 rockets.

New units!  People have been asking for new units for ages!  Now we got some!

But do you like them?

The concept was good... the final product is bad... Especially the Dragoon, he feels more like a husk who can shoot a gun...

After playing a bit, I've decided that I do like the addition of the Dragoon. A little fewer spawn on Gold would be nice, but he's cool and fun to go up against.

The Geth Bomber on the other hand just makes an un-fun faction even less enjoyable. Ugh. I hate the Geth. They're not fun to play.

I'm fine with the Dragoons. In fact, I'd rather they be buffed to have even a little bit of Barriers, as it'll help increase my N7 Fury's survivability.

As far as the Bombers, they irritate me because they don't seem to be impacted by Throw (and trigger a Biotic Explosion) when they temporarilly hover higher than normal (not sure if this is a dodge or what) but when they're flying higher, they don't BE. Either that, or when they're higher, even if they're still well within the Annihilation Field, they aren't primed. Which is annoying.

Still playtesting this occurrence when I feel like grinding against the Geth.

Geth Hoppers! YES. I loved those and was sad they weren't in here. I liked the Destroyer but that's just a tiny prime lol

Destroyer had a tendency to charge you in the face too.

I don't mind the bombers so much because i can at least run away from them when they get right up on me, the dragoons are another matter though. They never take cover and they never stop damaging you. You can't retreat from them without taking damage and they have zero regard for their own safety while they suicide charge you. if it's only a handful of them then you can deal with them pretty easily but they come in endless wave and simply bury you before you can put them down. It reminds me of playing ME1 when the enemies would simply charge into you.

The geth need to lose staggering ability somewhere, though that isn't necessarily the bomber's fault. And the dragoon needs a speed reduction and fewer spawned at once. Otherwise, they're fine in my opinion.

The best way to counter the Geth at the moment is to bring a Paladin on every team. He eats Geth for breakfast. Extra points if you have a Volus Engineer giving him a Snap Freeze targeting system. That is, until they release a Thermal Scope for Paladin's hands.

Also I really don't like playing against him.  Any round with Dragoons spawning is "fight 50 dragoons, then whatever else is left still trying to catch up after they're gone".  They totally spoil the flow of Cerberus games.

+1000

I think my record is killing 12 dragoons before the rest of the enemies even showed up.  Some waves it feels like almost the entire spawn budget is used up fighting Dragoons, which gets boring after a while.

Their pathetic excuse for AI can be summed up as "Attack Attack Attack", and it really needs an overhaul.  Personally, I think they should advance with the rest of Cerberus while firing their Hornet, and only do the "Ludicrous Speed, engage!" bit when they enter a certain range of the player.  And if you make them advance more slowly, I think they could stand to get some shields/barriers, since they're not particularly durable for an armored unti, the only thing that makes them hard to kill is their speed.

Geth Bombers are pretty cheap. If one unit can down the whole team with one attack, you can call that OP. Dragoons I'm actually fine with. They're pretty easy to deal with and they have armor which Cerberus was lacking.

I actually can appreciate both new additions. From a game design perspective they make totally sense: The weakness of Cerberus, even of their most feared phantom-squad, was that they were much to passive, the smaller units taking cover most of the time, the Atlas way too slow to pose a danger. With the dragoons, we have an aggressive component, fast moving on the battlefield that actually behaves as if they were not tranquillized like the rest of their comrades.
The Gethbombers are a little overdosed with their closerange stun, I guess, it would be enough to have them drop cluster grenades every 5 seconds.

Neither one did anything that really improved the game experience as far as I'm concerned. They're not even interesting to look at. I see their only purpose is to make you move out of cover? Is that a good thing?

"You know what the Geth need? More stunlock." - Said no one ever. Seriously, the bombers were a terrible idea.

On the other hand, I actually really like the Dragoons.
