"Insofar as how long a Grey Warden could remain on the throne, it
depends. The taint will make a Grey Warden age faster, so someone like
Loghain isn't going to be able to stay a Grey Warden for very long as
he's no young man. The "thirty years" quote is about the maximum, but
the reality is that it depends on how often one is exposed to the
corruption and sometimes just personal variance-- even so, for a monarch
to stay on the throne upwards of thirty years is no mean feat. I don't
really think that's the limiting factor when it comes to this sort of
thing."

The Warden represents a strong willed and extremely resilient person. I'm sure it isn't in bioware's mind to shorten his/her lifespan to just 5-10 years. Remember, he/she isn't an ordinary Warden.ShimmeringDjinn wrote...

*Edit* Dragon Age 3 will be awkward without The Champion if Morrigan is going to be in the game which she will. He is going want to know what's going on with the baby.
Assuming you mean Warden when you say Champion.
You do know that not all the Wardens got with Morrigan, and some of the Warden PC's DIED right?
And some of the Wardens were women, and therefore couldn't get with Morrigan, even if they wanted to (and mine never would have; she tended to be singularly unpleasant if you happened to lack male genitalia--she's much nicer to male Wardens).
DAO did not have a canon love interest, this despite the fact you can have a child with Morrigan. Or Alistair can. Or Loghain can. And if it did, many would likely argue that it's Leliana. I romanced Alistair with my (female) Warden.
So no, what with possibly being dead and a good chance that he/she never romanced Morrigan, the Warden Commander does not have to be in DA3.
Aside from that, it'd be very difficult to port the Warden's face in from an entirely different game engine, which will encompass entirely different coding.

Thanks for the info but it is still irrelevant to the original topic...Without a doubt the Warden is not only one of the strongest if not the strongest Grey Warden he/she is also one of the strongest beings in all of Thedas. No way is the Warden succumbing to the taint in a measly 10 years!ShimmeringDjinn wrote...

Perhaps then our Da3 protagonist will have to venture into the Deep Roads to kill a super-powered corrupted Warden, who succumbed to the curse of the Joining while fighting off darkspawn in the Deep Roads. No need for face imports because the Warden just looks like a diabolical monster.
If this happened, my family would find me three days later still curled up under my desk in a nest of wine bottles, sobbing hysterically.

Ok, Bioware has a year to work extra hard to satisfiy us all. IF your like me, male romanced Morrigan, had a baby with her and went with her into the mirrior, that should affect my story greatly and I should see him and Morrigan in the game, I would I hope I could edit The Warden's apperance to make him look better in DA3, aside from that, He should be in the game. Now coming from my mage playhtrough, he romanced Leliana and impregnated Morrigan, he should still be in the game and still major to the plot but in a different role. But if your Warden's dead and has no kid then Bioware should acknowledge that and give you a different scenario, but The Warden shouldn't be totally ripped out of the game. This gives the game a better in-depht to its story and goes on what Bioware says, bigger decisions actually matter and this a big decision that matters. Also, I would like to give the Warden a voice, the voice actor shouldn't be older than 30 and should have varient personalities depending on player choice, cocky, wise, violent, etc. Also, if your Warden is alive, then at the end of DA2 Leliana says, "Both the Champion and The Warden are missing, this is more than a coincidence".
I'd laugh if what really happened was Morrigan became a giant spider and wrapped the warden up in her web to slowly pick his bones clean. But that's just because you used the word "impregnate". Ugh, gross.
