If it weren't for Orlais, all of Thedas would be a great deal more wrinkly. Val Royaux produces all manner of cosmetic oils for smoothing out skin.

The Oil of Orlais is world famous.

I wish you were *my* pony.

As a whole, I don't have too much of problem with Orlesians. Let's just hope most of them have an accent similar to Leliana's or Riordan's.

And I wonder what their preferred insults would be. Telling the PC that their mother was a hamster and their father smelled of elderberries?

Actually i would argue that Tevinters are a blight on Thedas' supposed purity.

I find Orlesians to be entertaining, if anything.  They certainly know how to dress and their accents make them easy to make fun of.  "Guillaume!  Darling, we have guests!"

Hopefully npcs in DA3, if in Orlais, resemble the ones in Mark of the Assassin.  I found that dlc to be fun, despite a certain annoying elf.

Somehow, I'm guessing that Orlesians in DA3 would magically lose their accents.  Time will tell...

You might as well just mount her right here and now.

Yeah, I'm having to lean with others here in worrying about Orlesian accent overkill.

Then again, I did watched Brotherhood of the Wolf entirely in French and that movie kicked all sorts of arse, so it depends on how extreme they get with the accents. I feel like more than one character like Isolde would tip the scales and make every other normal-ish sounding Orlesian seem like too much. Like how if in a crowded room everyone is speaking at a normal level, its a bareable, loud drone. But then if someone starts yelling at the top of their lungs on top of that, it tips the scales and makes the whole situation beyond intolerable...

...like that. That's what I fear too many bad Orlesian accents will lead to, regardless of how many "good" normal sounding ones there are.

With the right voice actors I think they could do it well :) After all, the ferelden characters must sound different to other parts of the world.

I'm totally looking forward to Orlais.

The hats! The cheeses! The colours! The balls! The politics! The intrigues!
Imagine all the fun side quests (or even main quests if there is a masquerade ball the PC has to attend) Bioware could create! Orlais is the perfect setting for funny and interesting quests that don't center around killing hordes of enemies.

Although I am afraid of the accents. They'll either turn out really good...or hilariously bad.
