Remember in the SP when you are doing the Rachni Queen mission and you had to use a flashlight, or at the Adrat-Yakashi monastery? I think it would have possibly been more interesting. Imagine Banshees charging in pitch darkness, unable to see 20ft in front of you. Ahh well I think it looks nice in its current state.

I don't feel like being executed because I didn't see what was coming for me. xD

Ooo that would be cool.

I'm actually fine with how it is now, it is by far my favorite Hazard map... it looks like Blade Runner/Coruscant at night, acid rain is a tad annoying but hey.

It was mentioned by bioware's Jos Hendriks that flashlights are prohibitively resource intensive to use.

And honestly the map is dark enough already, especially when your character is wounded. I actually had to adjust my brightness setting to get around this weird bug my tv has with pick black objects. I do wish I had a flashlight anyway.

I like Giant Hazard the way it is. It's not very hazardous, but it certainly is an awesome visual. Makes every Krogan backhand feel like an epic moment when the lightning strikes at the right time.

What would have been cool would be if lightning struck randomly on the map dealing damage to things in the radius. Show a graphic for a few seconds before the strike so people have time to move.

^ that up there unfortuanatly.

However, it would have been pretty nice if the map had dark spots and only a few lamps were scattered around to give some ambient light.  And once in a while maybe the moon came out from behind cloud cover to give extra light?  I dunno.  The map is good, but not what I was expecting.

My first time on Giant hazard tonight was kind of crazy. I played Fury, and there was a vorcha there. The combination of lightning, AF effects and the flamer was making my eyes bug out.

if the map isn't dark enough for you, change the games brightness options. my first trip through the map I literally couldn't see much anything inside the control room. My Batarian probably had a few stubbed toes because of it.
