I just finished a run with my human engineer (not really have time from last week change till now).
And I find out:

If my area incinerate hit more than one mob, the chain overload can actually trigle more than one fire explosion.
If the overload can effect 3 mobs, the fireexplosion will be 3. And I am not sure whether the fire explosion will trigle tech brust, it seems yes.

So, basiclly, now engineer can clean up a group of mob without any difficult. and the bigger the group is, the better effect will be.

Anyone else also notice this?

It works with snap freeze+chain overload. Shouldn't be any different.

So what happened to our great BE?
They new FE/TB/IE seems overruled BE

Nope, only 1 fire explosion. It is possible to see more than one fire explosion in the kill-feed because more than one enemy can be killed by the same fire explosion. Only certain powers can detonate multiple explosions.

It's still there.

FE/TB/CE are just the new kid in town.

After all these months.

Overload's subsequent jumps unfortunately do not detonate tech combos.

I am sure more than one.
INC hit 3 mobs, overload jump 3 times and 3 FE.

Not possible as far as I am aware. You can prime multiple targets with powers that affect an area, such as energy drain, reave and incinerate, but overload as far as I know doesn't work like this. Only the initial target gets primed or detonated by overload. Subsequent chain jumps don't work as primer or detonator. Not even neural shock evolution works in the chains.

I've had overload's chain jumps impact incinerated targets many times, nothing happens outside of little damage and electric stun. Only the original overload impact triggers detonation and tech burst can be detonated by another power such as incinerate.

If you use an area effect power such as energy drain, then you can detonate all primed targets with different powers. One power can only detonate one target at any time even if detonator is also area effect power, like incinerate.

Haven't gotten 3 (I almost always spec for shield/barrier damage). But I can confirm that you can detonate multiple FEs with chain overload.

Subsequent chain from overload can detonate tech explosion. Try ammo power like incendiary ammo on falcon and chain overload - triple explosion.

I did notice sometimes overload did not case FE, just kill the target.

is "Neural Shock" (incapacitate organics) of Overload needed for that on Humanaoids?

(because only then you do actual damage to organics)

Neural Shock gives you dmg bonus to human enemies.

Humanoid enemies. I think it doubles the damage, but causes enemies to flinch and stagger and that may screw up easy headshots.

^ So you saying Geth Troopers get the bonus too?

By human you would probably mean Cerberus. But it also works vs Collectors and some Rippaz. And knowing how insanely buggy this game is I wouldn't be surprised that it also deal double damage vs Geth.

It has occurred, several times in the past, that my HEng would Incinerate a target and then accidentally Overload an adjacent target instead of the original primed enemy.  However the Overload would chain to the primed target and detonate a fire explosion.  So while there may be a limit on detonations per cast (not sure about that), the chained overloads can indeed detonate.

Ok, so going for neural and shield evolutions, it's x6 VS machines, and x8 VS humanoids.
