I just want to know what it takes, or what you should do, for your DA profile on this website to be updated as frequently as possible?
The thing is: I have this game for the PC, and most of the time when I log on to my profile in-game, I get an error message saying either "A server error occurred while attempting to access your online profile storage" or that I have timed out. Does this prevent my DA profile from updating? I've heard you need to make manual saves in order for it to update.
Can someone clear all of this up for me please?

See the top couple of threads in this forum? Read their titles. Then read the appropriate one for details. If that fails, use this link:

In short, however, some people have problems with profiles updating slowly. Some don't. Read the thread for details of fixes, or the lack thereof. Also, if you get the 'timed out' message your data will not be uploaded, it won't be lost, it's right there on your system. And only hardsaves (not quicksaves) are uploaded anyway.

I'm not sure about that. My character updated once without me making any manual saves. Unless... it may update on autosaves.SusanStoHelit wrote...

On two different PCs now, the thing that kept my profile from updating (though not achievements) was the addition of the command to enable the developer console.
When i have -enabledeveloperconsole tacked onto the end of the shortcut/exe file, it will NOT update my character(s). when I don't, it works fine. Just another thing to check.

The point is that quicksaving, which presumably most people tend towards, will not trigger the update. The easiest way to trigger it is a manual save, because that's always supposed to update unless uploading is disabled.Alozaps wrote...

Ok I had this problem and how i solved it was to look at my documents/
bioware /dragon age/characters files and find the character i need and open that
folder you should have 4 items in it a save file which looks like a
folder then a picture of your pc, a txt page, and a picture of your
profile. Highlight these three without highlighting the folder then
copy and save them into the Premade characters folder which should be
about four or five down from the character file in the same tree and
paste them in. They will automatically go in alphabetically. Once you
have that done close it and open the game and log in load the game then
save it. and the next time you go online it should be there.
It seems like it is updating from the original character creator faster then from the in game creator.
