You know - 4E Shadowrun has some fascinating lore and history -
and the cyber-combat stuff is pretty good (if the fact that it is there more than the execution, at least) -

but I'm not a fan of the dice system. With all my bonuses and everything, to edit video files on a server with my hacker when I roll something like 14 d6's - and that ridiculously high number of dice doesn't matter when I need 5's and 6's since, statistically, I'm gonna most likely see 4 successes, maybe 5, not counting any 1's I roll that can counter successes -
I like the world and the history, just not a fan of the rolling system.

Then again, I love how much of the game is set up so you can easily be racist against elves.  I've never liked elves, and me and another player get a kick out of calling the elf in the party "dandelion eater" all the time.

When dice get that high we usually just buy the hits. Of course in one instance the team's rigger rolled 13 dice and got all 1s. That was fun... for me, as the GM.

We got a Elf Changling technomancer with no eyes, an AmerInd latent drake Mage with anger issues, a dwarf Rigger technomancer who drinks whiskey out of a baby bottle, and an Orc sniper who runs an Italian restaurant trying to keep his wife and kids in the dark about his shadowrunning and mafia connections.

I gave him Warrior of the Wild so that Hunter's Quarry could act like Mark of Death, and because I chose Ranger (and archery, but I ignored that) for the second Specialization with my Zev in DAO.

Might seem cheap to go with Bard, but for many reasons it felt right for her. Focus on her song abilities and buffing, plus the Bard gets ranged and close weapon powers, too, and overall with all the knowledge she had throughout the game - Bard was the way to go for the feel of the character.

Sneak of Shadows feat gives her Thievery and Back Stab to round out her Rogue feel.

Depending if you Archery'd or DW'd her more, this build might seem wrong to you. But I played her as the knowledgeable singing former spy with a religious conversion. *shrug*

Ok, she was tough.  The "obvious" choice is Wizard.  The "wrong but understandable" choice would be Druid.  Neither fits well, IMO.  Then I looked at Sorcerer, with Dragon Magic, and tried to force myself to accept that, but it wouldn't work.

So I'm like "what Arcane wielder uses the kind of magic that Morrigan is associated with and/or fits her personality" and it hits me - Warlock!
Vestige Pact fits best - Flemeth, demons of the Fade, and the Old Gods (kinda spoiler there but hey) are all the kind of things Morrigan would pledge herself to for power.  The Curse works for the Hexes.  Eldritch Blast is your always-usable Staff Blast.  Initiate of the Old Faith (man, even the name is great) is to give her once per combat shape-shifting and the Nature skill.  Life Bind and Vestige of Mount Vaelis both have effects that read much like the kind of magic that best fits Morrigan in DAO (curses and life drains and vulernabilities and such.)
Shadra-Kai were human but altered by the Shadow - how does that not sound like a description of Morrigan? :)

This may be my favorite conversion yet. :

Stupid multi-posting: will reserve for later characters, I guess.
